Made an overpayment for July of £200 and will make another payment later on in the month. Managed to make a profit from returning the bum cream - so the £2 went into the mortgage tin. Will need to maybe empty and pay in soon rather than wait until the end of the year.

We went through hoseseasons and visited the Stanwix Park, outside Silloth in Cumbria. Excellent site and had a great holiday as you had read. Would definately recommend to anyone.

Well spoke to lender and the letter was wrong and our normal monthly payments are £419.35 from August, which means that I can only overpay £230 every month - unless I can squeeze out more money from somewhere else. They apologised for sending the letter, but at least its all cleared up and they would have taken the correct amount out of the bank account even though I was told a smaller amount.

Also went to RBS and paid in some money, since hubbie had to open a savings account and the ISA plus account with no money in these. They mucked up twice so in the end they opened both accounts with no money allocated. Hopefully hubbie will go and fill up his ISA (which is a reasonable rate) from money in Nationwide which is making nothing.

Tomorrow going into town and going to bank £80 as an overpayment from my mortgage tin. Will continue to put away £1 or £2 coins and see what else I can collect until December.

I think that we have cracked potty training since she is quite happy going to the toilet and she did a poo in the toilet today - hurrah!!!

Sorry to hear the correction from the mortgage lender, but at least you realised it seemed odd; many people don't look!

Where does GG get those GIFs????

You do realise now of course that a trip anywhere requires rapid identification of the location of toilets and DD will always need to go just after the motorway services no matter if asked earlier? :D

Great to hear she's growing up, not long 'till you'll be fighting the boys off! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Stuart's post made me laugh. In my experience never ask before or after or anytime when going on a journey. Don't make a big deal of it before you go as it puts the idea in their mind and then they keep needing it! I never ask my children before we leave to visit grandparents etc which is normally a 3.5hr trip and they usually don't need it they are a bit older now but even when they were tiny I never asked!

I also teach 4 and 5 year olds and if you mention the word toilet they all need to go when if they hadn't heard the word no one would have wanted it.

Emptied the mortgage tin and made an overpayment of £80 to the mortgage today. £15 left in the tin and will continue to put away £1 or £2 coins and see what we can save up for another extra overpayment in December.

Today had a guy round talking about switching us for electric and gas - he was late so he is coming round to speak about actual figures tomorrow night. I think that we do need to switch as we can probably save something.
