heya gang well a serious fall from the wagon the last 4 days...eek! But I promise to climb back on and start behaving again as of tomorrow morning. It all started on Thursday when it was OH Birthday, thought I was being really good and only bought him a tiny B'day cake, but the MIL got a huge Thorntons jobie and wrecked that plan! I also haven't done much in the way of excercise, totally missed Thur and Fri, did 40 mins of step and jogging yesterday but nada again today. However I have walked the dog 3 times and done the weekly shop, plus am about to embark on the ironing! so not all bad. Forgot to weigh in on Friday so am just gonna go for STS jumped on the scales briefly yesterday morning and thats what they showed, suppose I shouldn't complain but this has been (so far) a very slow month for me, time to move the game up a notch.

Hope everyone had nice Valentines Days we didn't do much but the OH did treat me to a cute little bra and knicker set from Tesco which was sweet and made breakfast. The funniest thing was we both managed to buy exactly the same cards for one another hehe.

No worries Vixstar :) i didn't plan on 7pm but thats when i've got the front room free, carry on doing what you're doing, its clearly working :T

Somnium, thats a good sign about the card means you're on the same wavelength, it like OH starts a sentence and i finish it, or i know exactly what he'll say spooky isn't it.

London, someone said there was also a big debate about jaffa cakes being cakes or biscuits, a court ruled they were cakes :rotfl: I consider a teacake more like bread than a cake, well i make fruit loaf in the bread maker and thats almost the same.

HHA Result: 40 mins Super Sculpt (still waiting for the advertised super body to arrive, how many times do i have to do this dvd :rotfl: )

Hi all. Well Valentines Day food was bad and aplenty! I had pain au chocolates (sp) for brunch and dinner was (S) garlic and chilli king prawns (M) beef wellington, roast potatoes and veg (D) hot banana pancakes. So today I did an hour and a half on the wii. Lots of running, boxing, stepping and then some muscle workouts. I'm getting a bit of a kick out of the running, but I know I shouldnt be doing it because of my back and hips.

It also gives me a good break from work, and (cheesy as it sounds) makes me feel better in mind and body. I guess its all a balance, how much is it worth the pain? And what level to push my body to?

I read this thread everyday so must try to post more!
  • Thanks for all the support from everyone.

After my post on Friday I actually had a good weekend foodwise. I stayed in control and didn't overeat which was a first. OH and I even shared a chocolate bar on saturday night (half of a twist bar!!) which was a treat. However because I ate it openly I didn't feel guilty.

I've not done any exercise this weekend but I am planning to get that going this week starting with a couple of walks tomorrow with the kids/dog.

I'm feeling in control at present which is the first time for ages - long may it last!

    Hello everyone,
Not been online much all weekend, so have just caught up on the thread. Wow Vix, well done on the loss.

Catmiaow well done - 16lbs in 6 weeks is incredible!

Marion - Ah, NYC, my kinda town! I went there several years ago, and stayed on 57th/7th, near Central Pk & Times Sq. It's a lovely city to visit, and you're going there at just the right time too! Lucky old you.

Well, Valentines was a damp squib here. OH & I have had a diff week. I won't bore you with the details, but suffice to say he got me nothing, and I got him a nice card, some Thorntons chocs and fudge. I bought my youngest 2 boys a Thorntons chocolate love heart, which they loved. I don't think OH has a clue how upset I am that he ignored it, but that's how it is, so there you are. It certainly didn't affect my calories I guess!

I spent all day yesterday sorting out boxes of stuff, shifting things around, and trying to throw stuff out from a big shed I have (16ftx13ft big). I'm freecycling some furniture I have in there. I'm sure that burnt a lot of cals, but I was craving carbs again like a demon. I tried to do it reasonably with h/m flapjack. It's ToTM time, and I feel like crud as a result. Stayed home & cooked a lamb roast dinner. I probably had too many cals just in that, as I allowed myself roast spuds & 2 yorkshires today (eek!). I had a short walk to the local shop for some fruit earlier, but no other exercise.

I was going to allow myself some of the Thorntons chocs today, but then realised I was just trying to console myself for feeling bad right now with them, which would have ended up making me feel worse in the end. Glad I've resisted.

    So food today:
    B - porridge
L - roast lamb, 2 yorkshires, 4 roast spuds (smalll), mixed veg & gravy.
    D - 1 small h/m roll scraping of butter.

Hoping to keep on track next week, even though the children are home for halfterm, which will be harder to do preparing food for them more.

Have a good week everyone - will try to join you one evening nmm, if I can ever get on the Wii at that time! I may use some boxing moves on one of the kids to scare them off!:rotfl:
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

Hello :hello: , just wondering if I could join in?

I really need to lose some weight as I have put on 3 stone since I got married...in May 2007  . Also my consultant has said that my chest pains are caused by big boobs (ahem) :rotfl: . Since meeting my DH nearly 9 years ago I've put on (not including losing and regaining :o ) 5 stone. He says he doesn't mind, but I do (pretty sure he's a feeder...:D )

So from tomorrow I will be doing my best to cut down on food and get more active.

I'll update every Monday with my totals, hopefully they'll be for losing and not gaining.
