  • Starlight -that's very sad news, even more so that it was unexpected. Thinking of you. Can quite understand why 'diet' is the last thing on your mind. Look forward to having you back when you are ready.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

My main problem atm is excercise. With the weather being soo cold lately, I don't want to go out in it unless I have to! :o So is there any keep fit DVDs that're worthwhile? Thanks in advance and hope this helps. :)
We do something called HHA (Half Hour Activity) Which basically means when someone says HHA you can join in and do something for 30 mins, like a workout, housework etc it does help you get motivated as you know someone else is doing the same as you :j Just ask Annie, Victory, FFM and others how well its helped them :)

I'm a big fan of Davina's Super Body Workout and occasionally do Tae Bo so i dont get bored. I have about 6 other dvd's but don't do them much now. Do you own Wii Fit? lots of people on here do that instead of dvd's.

    Hugs to you starlight xx

FFM: I've never really known what ive wanted to be from the age of 14, when youre asked to pick options! I find career advisors can be a bit put offy. You say what youre thinking of and they go on about how tough it is to get in and you will need this, this and this! For a teenager you might aswell be saying give up thicko. Our school used that connexions thing too, i still have my card with my pic on it from year 9 or something silly!

Anyway, i picked up the application form today. I know for a factemento i wont get the job, but hopefully i will at least get through to the interview stage so that i can re aquaint myself with how horrible they are!

Of course it does - and it looks fantastic, well done, you could eat your dinner off that floor!
Started a little earlier so have just finished:
    Total HHA - 37 mins
    • boxing 13 mins
    • hoola - 4 mins
    • free step - 10 mins
    • Balance 10 mins
I must be getting fitter as I got my bronze pig yesterday (10 hours) and today I have unlocked a couple of super advanced balances and beaten a few records. Got to level seven on marble board, 80 points on penguin fish thingy, opened advanced level on tightrope walk and beat my best on boxing points (1022). So all in all a good HHA.
Must get some school work done so I am off for a shower then lunch then WORK!!!!!
    byeeeeeee

I have gone over the 40 hours so have a gold pig, my son is very impressed and wants one:D when you get to level 8 on the marble board they all come alive and congratulate you, best bit:D 104 is my top score on the fish, on super advanced on the tightrope but have only got 23m before the gust of wind knocks her off:rolleyes: only ever scored 150 odd on the boxing because have never understood what he is on about so don't follow him and then go mad at the end on the bonus time:D
hoola is 304 single, double is 635,free step 3556 for 30 mins,

Lol no I've never had an OFFICIAL job. My dad owns his own business and I used to work there one day a week most weeks between the ages of 16-18. There are a few things in my defence tho! 1) I spent half my life on crutches/having operations 2) I was an A grade student and my dad didnt want that to change 3) Money wasnt an issue for my dad and because of the first two reasons he would rather have me do some work for him and give me any extra money I needed.

So although I wont have a list of references when I graduate I will hopefull have done well on my degree and have the fact that I even got a degree and want to work as credits for me given my circumstances.

Hope all goes well for you getting a job, and I would totally put down the degree. After all the government are making out like education and degrees are the only way to make yourself look worthwhile to employers.

Its a degree in education, which will be followed by a PGCE so I have the option of going into teaching. See how I said option and not that its what I'm going to do?! I have another 2 1/2 years to go and have got to that point where I just want to throw it all in but know I need to push through it.

Sooo jealous of your "the works" meal. Mmmmm....enjoy!

    Hi all

Good to see you're all still doing well. We're now in Torrox-costa, which is near Malaga. The weather isn't great here, but I know it's been pretty bad back in the UK so not complaining.

Starlight - so sorry to hear about your Dad, it must have come as a terrible shock, with no warning like that.

I'm not sure how well I'm doing weightwise as I haven't weighed myself since we left the UK, however I still can't do up those trousers, so more work needed! Our eating habits have been a bit 'holiday mode-ish', but that's going to change, with less treats and more exercise. I'm back in the UK at the end of the month and will be going to a 40th wedding anniversary party, and I haven't got anything to wear yet, so that's focussing my mind!

Hope you're all keeping warm and safe, and enjoying the snow.

    Take care,

    LL :)
