    a) the walking and
    b) the cold!

:) OH came in and said you feeling alright? :o Maybe if i cleaned it more than once a year it wouldn't take so long, hmmm.
Mmm, sounds familiar -I've just been sawing wood and drilling holes to put up a shelf downstairs (our sittingroom is upstairs) & having just finished OH wonders downstairs and says 'are you alright?' Never wonder in half way do they and say 'want a hand?' :D
Still, shelf is up and now created whole new storage space for food etc.:j

Dragon - well done on the half hr [strike]torture [/strike]delightful wonder round sainsbury.
For some reason i am now singing " come on Dragon light my fire"...

I did very well, resisted any fat & sugar laden 'treat' purchases in asda: nearly succombed to hotxbuns but rememerberd the lashings of butter I like with them. Bought woopsied sharon fruit instead: very sweet and felt a real treat.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

    confession time.............

no mambury going commando this week. The kids slept in! All week they've been waking up at 5-5.30am and the one day I need them to wake up early they sleep in until 7.30! As I had to feed, wash and clothe three of us in 30 mins it was a no goer! Nevermind, I will just have to try to fit it some running or swimming or even both in the week instead.

So to add to the no exercise this weekend I've just scoffed a chinese:o ,
    back on board tomorrow! Promise!

Hello to everyone and hope you are all well, I;ve not had chance to catch up on all the posts for today!

Mambury never mind atleast you got an action plan to make up for it :j Hope the chinese was nice ;)

  • I'm glad I managed my 6.30 cardio this morning but truthfully I could have happily stayed warm in bed. But I did feel better afterwards.

Think I might just play some wii sports tonight just do a little more exercise as I tend to take the tennis too seriously. :D

Has anyone got any snow ?? I doubt it will reach us in the west.

When do most people do their weekly weigh in?

Well done to everyone else for their exploits today makes my day at work sound rather boring.

Have a good evening everyone x

Alliwant - people weigh in any day they feel comfortable (or when they go to a class etc) - but the chart is done on a Wednesday if that helps at all!

    Evening all,

    Wow! more newbies!! :T

Welcome to: izzy, stacey, candymonster, clairabell, alliwant, catmiaow, and anyone else I may have omitted (sorry if I did)!

No matter what plan you're following, there's lots of help, support, handy hints and good banter to be had here.

I'm following a calorie controlled diet, which is what I feel happiest trying to control and maintain. I have done SW & WW and Slimfast before, but as soon as I stopped following the plans, the weight crept back on. My main rule of thumb is to keep my carb intake at a much lower level than it was previously. I am a carb monster, and some days my entire diet was high carb based. Bread, bread and more bread! Now I limit my intake, avoiding starchy foods like potatoes, rice & pasta, and rarely allow myself bread. I have to say that my stomach is much calmer as a result, which tells me that it wasn't even doing me any good anyway. I also have less gas now too :o he he, so everyone's a winner here!:T

I spent all yesterday decorating, and felt exhausted by the end of the day. However, I was also due to go out for a birthday meal with some friends, so got tarted up, took 2 paracetamol  and went out. We had a lovely meal, and I ate the least out of all of them :T I had been advised by a friend that eating the noodles, instead of the rice is the better carb option, so I had a few, and stuck to meat/veg dishes. I had coffee for dessert, while they had sticky toffee banana! I didn't feel I'd missed out, and really did enjoy what I had.

I've had a damage limitation day today, and have been very good foodwise.
    B - porridge
L - veg & beef soup (after cooking bacon & cheese baguettes for the family:eek: )
d - grilled chicken breast, mixed veg
    Snacks - oatcake biscuits x 3

All morning I spent cleaning, pulling out furniture for a good, thorough deep clean - just remembered I've stripped the bed, and not remade it! Ugh, I hate it when I do that, will go up after I've drunk my cuppa and sort it out.

No Wii time, the kids comandeer it all weekend, but may look for a spare 30mins tomorrow.

Marion - I loved your 'cuddle' story. I read it out to my OH, and he thinks Charlie is a very wise pooch!:rotfl:
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
