HHA Result: 20 mins Davina's Super Body Workout, 40 mins Raving Rabbids TV Party on Wii Balance Board

Had to cut short the body workout as DS came home with a friend. Had to stop the Raving Rabbids 'cos I was cooking and serving up tea.

The Raving Rabbids is not supposed to be a fitness game - but you move from 1 butt cheek to the other to steer the motorbike - must wear some of it down  . One of the races involves alot of boxing type moves. One of the dance games is a bit like an aerobics work out - so all in all I think they are missing out on a marketing ploy.

OH firmly believes I have 'lost it' to be playing such a game - ho hum - I had a great time. :D

    FFM :)

I just got this game last night along with My Fitness Coach only played it for a short while but its so much fun and yes there is lots of moving about :D

Just set up MFC and tried 2 short 15 minute work outs, so far am really liking it. It doesn't use the balance board but is still very good IMO. Think of it like a personilised DVD work out :D Was hard work but not so much it made my head spin, a challenge and It should bring some good results if I keep it up along with the Wii Fit.

BB Sorry to hear that! I get migraines every month if you know what I mean. The annoying thing is I've got a benign brain tumour and if the pain get really bad I'm supposed to go to hospital incase I'm having a bleed. Sometimes I'm lucky and get a visual disturbance first so I know it's just a migraine but it does freak me out. How do you cope with them? I layer paracetamol and ibuprofen as I go funny on the stronger stuff. Have you tried the 4head stuff? I found it useless but some I know swear by it. Take care.

Just in case anyone likes the Weight Watchers frozen desserts, they are 3 for £2 in ASDA. So 6 desserts for £2!
    I would if I could but I can't so I won't!

    Hi all,

I'm still floundering without foodfocus but am bumbling along anyway.

No HHA today - the Wii is pretty much out of bounds for me at w/ends with the kids. I did help move a washing machine in/out of the house today, and into/out the car, if that counts, but it lasted all of 5 mins!

    Food today:
    B - porridge
    L - bacon sandwich (2 slices h/m bread)
D - chicken cooked in pesto, mixed veg, a dozen oven chips
    Snack - 1 oatcake biscuit/1 inch of h/m flapjack

I think the bread and the pesto have really played up my tummy though, and I feel bloated as a result. I definitely feel I need to eat more veg/fruit to keep me ticking along, and feeling healthier. Bread and wheat products definitely make me feel more sluggish. Anyone else find this?

Anyway, just had a quick read to catch up. Interested to hear about the My Fitness Coach on Wii, as I read mixed reviews for it before Xmas.

    TTFN.

  • Thanks Tagz. At the moment I find the best way to deal with them is the moment I get that twinge is to take 3 paraceptamol (GP has ok'ed this) and a procribed 'almogran' at the same time. That contains it and minimised the pain but wipes me out. Today I was caught out without my meds and got home within 1/2 hr but it was too late and had to spend 8 hrs in bed in the before pain was under control.
Unfortunetely, I'm not able to take ibruprofen as it clashes with my immune suppresant drugs I take( the ones which have the side effects), which is a bind as they would be helpful with the arthritis aches and pains sometimes.
On the plus side, 18 months ago I have been through several years of 3-4 days a week being written off with the migraines, but I had a 7 month break from the drugs and although back on them, the migs are much less frequent and seem to concentrate over one week a month. Still rotten but much better than it was IYSWIM. Of course, the down side of taking the 7 month break is that the drug they put me on instead caused the 1 in 100,000 side effect of full on all over arthritis , so I am now on meds to contain that and keep me mobile:rotfl: .You gotta larf:eek: .

Hatsoff to you for not panicking everytime you get a mig though!
Don't know what the 4head stuff is.

  • Big hugs to BB, Beanie, and Tagz - you guys put peeps like me to shame when I mumble on about having a cold :o

Hope your head feels better soon BB.

nmm - undecided on the Davina workout, I only got through 1 and a bit of the sections - I bought it off Ebay for £4.50 inc p&p - should have guessed it might be dodgy - the seller is now 'naru'd' and the actual listing and my sale have been deleted
