went to bolton today hung around till 4.30 waiting to see if they let us have a basket for £1 - didn't happen but got some good bargains for 90% off anyway

i went to the bolton store today as well, bout 1ish.. picked up r.kelly's greatest hits, albums of: kanye west, nelly, timbaland, snoop dogg, jay-z, backstreet boys (greatest hits), bob marley and alexandra burke's single... all 80% off. Picked up posters (5 for £1), friends 09 calendar, bourne supremacy and united 93 dvd's, all at 80% off... plus loadsa other little bits and bobs.

Well I happened across the last hour of a woolworths store today. I actually thought it was closing on the 5th but got it wrong.
I went in just after 3pm and they had just reduced to 90% off so picked up

By the time i picked up all that and put it in a decarded box to carry it the guy said i could have it all for £2 :eek:

Oh forgot the random poster which turned out to be Tinkerbell which my dd was thrilled about as her bedroom has just been done out with Disney fairy acessories.

hubby and i went to woolworths in swindon [lunch time ish]not much in their unless you wanted offfice desks ect..... mind you we picked up a few books ..cd and ps3 gtar hero for £4.00 [WAS £20] elton john album [rocket man] status quo cd .... all for £10 .00 worth going for !!90%} off
stroud one we spent £25.00 more books 50% off ..... stroud open tilll monday ... very sad thats they had to close

Not all the dates above are correct as some stores have remained open longer. However, does anyone know when the Branch at Shields Road, byler (Newcastle upon tyne) is closing? Feel sorry for all the staff and wish them well.
