So sad,end of an era,I knew lots of staff in my Woolworths by name and I will miss them all.0

They had nothing I needed and then they closed.

I've been going into mine for a long time, 30 years, it is sad to see it looking so bereft. At one time, it was one of the busiest and best shops in town. now it's Costa, Starbucks and Cancer Research.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

This had had a knock on effect as the firm my DH works for maintains their servers and till systems. They have made several people redundant as the contract was 25 % of their calls around the country.
It was also a very very sad day when Castleton closed as he got on well with all the guys and gals up there.
He has to go in on the days these store close and remove all the servers, he is not looking forward to this as he said it is like ripping the heart out of each store. If You See Someone Without A Smile......Give Them One Of Yours0 -
Thanks for this, I went into the Kingstanding branch last night, staff were busy stocking the shelves with chocs and sweets. Such a shame x x xI have started entering competitions, lets see If I can win

thanks for the updated list... went into the Coventry one in the City Centre today and how rude was the staff member! As if its my fault they are losing their jobs! I wouldn't want to employ her! Anyway am guessing the city centre one is closing on the 2nd since all the prices were the same... Oh yeh they don't have any stock of consoles....
Any ideas how many days prior to closing the producst become at least 50% off rather than the 30%? Thanks...0 -

King's Lynn has 4 days remaining and everything is now at least 50% off with some stuff more. Only half the store open though. Shame, it's only 2 years old and was really modern.0
