Looks like the Harlow one has already gone then, I was going to have a look this week in between visiting relatives. Oh well.
I wonder what these stores will turn into? the Harlow one was slap bang in the middle of a new development at the town centre with Asda, Matalan and Next etc... all close by, it's going to look odd now with a huge empty store in the middle of it all. They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

Nothing left in Peterborough and its meant to shut on the 5th Jan, no idea how it will last that long with next to no stock.0

I'll be glad when the last one shuts so we can move on. I'm sick to the back teeth of hearing 'bargain hunters' woohooing about Woolies sales.
They sold cheap sh1te before and now they are selling the same sh1te cheaper.
WOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

What's to wonder? They go to the Job Centre and apply to a new job...not that hard. All the staff in our local store have pulled their fingers out of their butts and lined up new jobs, and this isn't exactly a massive town...so I'm sure staff in bigger towns and cities can get into new jobs pretty sharpish. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -
Its amazes me how many people say its sad. Its not really that big of a deal, its a shop! businesses close all the time.
There was one women on TV saying how sad it was that Woolies was closing and how she went in there "every Saturday to buy her lottery ticket"- so she wasnt really spending any money in there!0 -
I've been through it, at a different company. Didn't feel sorry for myself though. I understand its a difficult situation but I've always had a positive mental attitude.0
