Hi,
Looking for a travelodge near alton towers or near buses/trains? for alton towers (no car), as I have noticed a lot of £9 rooms left up north and haven't been to this amusement park yet. Anyone help on this?0 -
I've after some cheap weekends away. Can anyone recommend some very central Travelodges please? These are the places I'd like to try.
Edinburgh
Somerset
Ireland (anywhere where it's central enough to travel about by foot)
The plan is to see the country with my American friend. Any ideas?
Ive stayed in a lot of Travelodes on my own as I find these sale prices good and the city centre ones safe.
I had 3 nights in Edinburgh last Easter on a £19 deal booked the central one just off Royal Mile - excellent location (added bonus i found was it was just opposite the best ever vegetarian restaurant David Banns for dinner every night:T ) so that ones very central, other one there said a mile out by Haymarket? I think they have opened another one since but the Central ones good as 10 mins from the Castle and 2 mins from Royal Mile.
Cardiff, Chester, York, Worcester, Bath, and Bristol plus several of the London ones are very central. Ive only been to Dublin in Ireland and the Travelodge is at the airport there but I always book the Harding hotel in Dublin)
Hope you get something booked?Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

I have a booking outstanding in London for 32 a night (saver rate) and tried to add a late check out and it says it cannot do it at the moment. Anyone know why? Is it just a common temporary blip or will I always get this message.0

Recently stayed at a Travelodge near Kendal on one of these 'deals'. I had stayed there before, but now they have installed very expensive car parking machines outside. So be warned - you can't walk to these places - and you will need to add about £5 a night onto your stay. I felt totally ripped off!
They can't even admit what they are doing blaming it on a car parking company for the charges! :eek:0 -

Before you make up your mind it's worth having a look at this:

I stayed at Travelodge Kendal last June and the car parking was FREE.
If they have now started charging for parking, there is ALWAYS this info on their website.
So there should be no surprise to anyone if they take the trouble to look it up.
£9 a room and £5 for parking
£14 a night
I can live with that.
ps: here is the info about parking at Travelodge Kendal.

and I dare say they would have found the same thing at some of the most expensive hotels:T0 -
last week i booked a 5 nights holiday with travelodge.
3 nights in 1 location (each night booked seperately as it was cheaper than buying them together in 1 go)
2 nights in another location. (each night booked seperately as it was cheaper than buying them together in 1 go)
now may main concern is will they ask us to check in and check out every day because i booked those nights seperately or is it possible for them to keep us checked in until the duration of the stay at that hotel ends.0 -
No. Tell them when you arrive that you are staying more than one night. I would advise showing your confirmations. You will have to renew your swipe card before noon each day though. Just call in at reception in the morning.0

Just stayed 2 nights in London Farringdon from the last £9/night deal. OK, it wasn't the Ritz, but good location, 10 mins walk from Kings Cross tube, & longer walking distance to centre. Room was perfectly adequate, rather shabby, but clean enough, with tea & coffee making facilities & a flat screen TV, functional bathroom.0
