The question is - why are they charging car parking at all? I live near Kendal Travelodge and no local person would leave their car here and walk into Kendal as it's too far. There's no shops near the building and no where for their visitors to park their cars if they don't want to pay the £5. This is just a way for travelodge to make extra money.0

When I booked the web site didn't show this and it does not come up on the screen you book on....
...so just be warned, it's not as cheap as it seems.0
