I friend was up at the 'crack on dawn' and has booked a number of breaks but what if Travel Lodge goes bust I assume the money will be lost?

Will make a note to check for cheap train fares nearer the time.

Tempted by Brighton over the summer but those are £19 which is still a bargin so will have a think as Its a long way from the Midlands by train:rolleyes:

Nothing at all wrong with booking nights separately.

The main problem is that when these sales are on the web-site is well overloaded and by the time you get to actually booking the first price offered has gone.

Yeah I'm wondering that too, I can have it for £9 if I book one night, I want two and it goes up £20 for the night that's suppossed to be £9. Are you guys sure they won't get 'funny' about it, make you check out and in again? : %

Been trying for the last hour to book room. get as far as putting credit card details in and keep getting erroor message : booking system could not book rooms

presume this is because they are busy ?

or does this mean something else.

Have re started the booking process several times and cant get further than this
  • No neither could I! I've spent since quater to 9 trying. I got to the book page so many times and it just wouldn't let me go to pay. Had to repeat the process so many times! I'm thinking the rest of the year travelodge don't need high capacity servers, so on a day like today it's a huge strain. I have the blue vein popping out my head syndrome trying to book things. Will need a holiday to recover ;)

I have booked umpteen two or three night stays by booking every night separately. Every time I have merely mentioned this to reception when I first booked in and I have the same room for the full two or three nights. Never had a problem.

But a room for £19 is still very good value! Its just you have been beaten to it for the £9 ones.
I was up at 6:25 tried for 1.5 hours and finally manged to get 3 £9 rooms in August after many attempts.
I couldnt get any £9 ones in the May half term near where we wanted to go but got 2 £19 which for a family of 4 is good.
