Think you may be slightly deluded in thinking the shortage is due to you being too careful, wheresmydoshat.Wins: pink kids laptop

I agree it looks tampered withm but why on earth would some one go to the trouble?0

IMHO the damage was caused by a pair of pliers, If the item is not working its up to him/her to send it back at their expense.I hope you kept a record of all relevant serial numbers as it would seem likely their own has gone kaput and want you to replace it.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

It is definately an adult as he has also bought lots of stuff for his baby.
So does anyone know how paypal will deal with it? will it be , "ooh a buyer has made a request for a refund so here you go, here is your refund and keep the plyers for your next purchase and get another free ps2!"???0 -
Agree with above, the teeth on a pair of pliers have done that damage I would say.0

Don't P/P normally expect the buyer to send back the item, by special delivery(track able) then ask you to refund? Thats why I mentioned about the serial numbers etc. Unless he's already taken the duff part out of his and put it back in yours.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Oh dear you start off thinking he's "very nice buyer" "seems genuine" 10 minutes with these bitter and twisted sellers and he's all the sudden out to fiddle you with his magic plyers.
Only way you can check if it was damaged in the post is if you get to see it or at least get pics, if it was roughly handled to manage to bend the plug they'll also be other signs of damage which would more than likely have knackered the ps2 as well as the plug. The drives on those things do fail especially if they're knocked around. He can't make any claims against the mail and tbh unlikely to be scamming for a £24 PS2Wins: pink kids laptop

the magic plyers alone would have set him back £60:grouphug:

I guess it would depend how it was packed. If the plug was facing inwards, it seems odd that it would get bent. A useful tip in future is to make a record of the console's serial number so if you do end up getting it back you can tell if it's yours or not. Or maybe even put a mark on it with a UV pen so you can tell if it's the one you sold or not.0
