I think you have posted on the wrong thread!wheresmydoshat wrote: »i have a very good friend called gaz jones (the rare name that it is), who is currently in new zealand. i can't believe he's trawling the moneysavingexpert forums, he never seemed the kind (!)
It is not royal mail it was dhl through interparcel who i am claiming with.
So what do i do? will paypal go with buyer if he does a dsipute?0 -
You haven't got a claim against the courier company. This is in all probability not accidental damage. You have called his bluff once and he probably had to damage a lead to send the photo.
If he persists in his claim then he will have to send the complete system back. I do hope you have the serial number, but even if it is the same unit it will of course be damaged by the time it gets back to you.
So you really want to say to him to package it up and send it back and you will check the serial number etc to ascertain if it is the same unit. Hopefully you will then hear no more.0 -

Doubt anyone will willingly admit to being a mate of wheresmydoshat
Plugs do get damaged though and you need to remember this is an old PS2 so not like it was sold brand new could've been weakened anytime in the past. You've stated he's "nice buyer" seems "genuine" etc so why not just give him the benefit of the doubt and follow through with a postal damage claim. Not really much else you can doWins: pink kids laptop

Did i say it was an old ps2? just wondering how you knew?0 -
An educated guess I suppose
I said it would not be worth sending back as it was a tenner and only sold for £24stevew8975 wrote: »In the eyes of a child (which I think we're dealing with) then anything not current spec is "old".
