Posting my diary for today to try and keep me on track! I've left EE behind as I've stopped losing despite following it 100% and am thinking it's a bit of a hodge-podge of the old routine to sell it to new people (oooh, controversial!) and why change to it when I liked the old routine?

So a red day for me today!

B - bacon, WW sausage (1/2 syn), nimble (HEb) and ketchup (1syn)

L - salad, bacon, chicken breast, wholemeal bread (HEb) and a smidgen of mayo (1syn)

D - lean mince made into meatballs, passatta with chilli and garlic, roasted squash, peppers and onions, salad.

Snacks - WW dessert yogurt (1/2 syn), moscow mule with light ginger beer (2 syns), banana, tea with milk (HEa) and light ribena. Possibly a meringe nest (2 1/2 syns) with swishy cream (1/2 syn).

Also - I bought some butter buds from lakeland - really funny looking stuff!! Not quite sure what to do with them. Can you bake with them or is it just a sprinkle-on thing?

I just wanted to share something with you which I have identified in my own eating habits( that may or may not help others of you!)
......My blood sugar dives always at about 4-5 in the afternoon and I become starving......this is when I used to grab the nearest thing , pick at bits whilst preparing food for the kids and eat off the kids plates (when they left food!)
Since doing sw I have a mini meal at this time- usually a yogurt, banana and cup of tea.
I find I then beat the hunger before it kicks in with a vengeance....

Just thought I would share this as it has taken a long time for me to be able to identify this dip (even though it should have been starring me in the face!)
I thought you all might find you have the same sorts of dips at differing times of day and this might help you to focus in on your own eating patterns ;)

The real reason behind the inception of the Extra Easy plan was to appeal to the USA where SW is hoping to branch out soon.

As we all know, the Americans are renowned for their large appetites and it is hoped that EE will reel them in.

Far from being a hodge-podge of old plans, it is a separate plan which happens to incorporate foods from both plans (which it would have to do since the original and green plans cover every food there is).

The same amount of research has gone into developing this plan as all the others and SW wouldn't make any headway if they were setting members up to fail would they?

At the end of the day, as with everything, you have to go with what you find fits in with your own, particular lifestyle.

I'm always telling my members this is not intended to be a diet, it's a healthy eating lifestyle which you either choose to embrace or not.......with Food Optimising you have choice-power so there's no need for will-power.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Jemmabe - I'm the same - I get home at 5.10pm and HAVE to have something to eat. OH doesn't usually get home until 7pm and we eat 7.30pm-8pm - if I didn't have something SW to eat when I got home I'd grab everything and anything in sight! Usually mine is a savoury rice/mug-shot.

sw_mina - hope you synned the vodka in the moscow mule!

We eat late too sc and I think that is what does it. Ideally I suppose I would be better off eating @ 6 rather than 7/8 but hey ;)

    I need to diet.
But I've just rediscoved cooking with a passion.
Loving Jamie Oliver books (bought them all).

Would SW work with Jamie cooking.
Just saw about this new extra easy plan, sounds good for home cooking?
  • Hi Mrs E

I am a cookbook collector  .... I have (literally) hundreds, and cook from them every single night, and many times at lunchtime too. Once you know the 'rules' of SW you will find many many recipes that fit without any changes, and almost all the rest just need a tweak here or an adaption there.

Jamie is very much part of our lives too :D

Enjoy your time with SW - it allows you to cook and eat and lose weight - quite cool really

Tonight for example, I am eating a morrocan sweet tagine, with chicken, chickpeas, onions, apricots and carrots all served on cous cous. Not a syn in sight :D
