  • Well done spirit. 2 1/2 stone is fantastic! :T

Just to share, I made the double cheese burgers from pages 46/47 in the latest magazine (Mar-Apr) last night and they were absolutely fantastic. Would recommend giving them a try ;) If anyone wants to recipe, let me know.
I'll be making the carbonara on page 61 next, so will report back.

can i ask what sort of excercise plan you's all do?

As a rule none. With SW you don't 'have' to (but obviously it helps!)

At the moment all I do is walking. I have a 26 mile charity walk in June, so of a weekend we walk up to 6 miles as a start to the training. I also did Latin/Ballroom dancing for one hour a week but can't go anymore as OH is working away.
Any movement will be good so its whatever suits you - gentle walking to start with, or aerobics classes/swimming etc
  • I hope you all think this is a good idea, but I have copied Flat Eric's post onto the first page of this thread. (I got an early post deliberately :D)

If peeps ask about the plan, we can direct them to it there .. if anyone (FE?)thinks it is a bad idea, then it can be deleted of course...

just tryin' to be helpful :o

Please pop over to page 1 to see what I have done - ta x
  • I am best to draw a line under what happened yesterday food wise, and move onwards again...... maybe it was the shock of staying at my target weight for a week, but clearly days like yesterday can't be repeated (too often :rotfl: )

So, today, back to plan 100%

    Red Day

B - 0% yog with blackberries and strawberries, tea (milk HA)
L - kippers and bread (HB) and spread (2 syns), grapes, more tea - must try to drink some water today
D - chicken wrapped in bacon, stuffed with mozzarella (HA), served with rocket salad and new potatoes (HB)

    probably a G&T (2.5 syns)

Right - off to assemble four (large, heavy) bookshelves and keep out the way whilst DH constructs a wall storage system that involves screwing things to the wall
  • Daily eating plan - yesterdays! Good morning everyone, the sun is shining here this morning, I had a good nights sleep last night, a good session in the loo when I got up:o;), another 100% perfect day on the SW plan yesterday so all is happy happy happy in my little corner of the world! :D

Ooh I shouldn't have said that, now the sun has gone behind some clounds that look like they are moving in fast! Oh well it was nice while it lasted!

    Yesterday I had

Breakfast - I was starving so I had a large portion of my blueberry breakfast rice which I topped with a large dollop of 0% Total and drizzled with a tbsp of blueberry syrup (free, free, 2 syns)

Lunch - Left over pork chop in tomato and basil sauce with leftover mashed potato, carrot and peas (free)

Dinner - HM meatballs in HM spicy sauce served with tagliatelle (free)

I did make a chickpea cake yesterday using HEB portion of dried apricots and milk in my coffee for HEA. I loved this cake and it was very filling.
Snacks during the day were apples and pieces of cake!

I think technically you are not supposed to make cakes with chickpeas because in SW it is seen as food abuse, however I think having it once a week or so isn't going to do any harm. I can see how having 2 or 3 a day could be classed as abuse but not once a week! It was so filling actually that I couldn't even manage to eat any syns other than the 1/2 syn for the baking powder in the cake! If I did fancy it more often does anyone know how many syns for a tin of chickpeas?

    Love

Excellent post Flat Eric, really helpful!!

Have decided rather than pay around 70€ I might persuade my mum to join for one week so I can get the stuff cheaper and she can send it out. Bit naughty maybe but the postal membership is extortionate!
    Thanks for that suggestion naturally.
  • Marion - I acknowledge that using chickpeas in a cake would be classed as a misuse, but I have missed the recipe, would you be willing to share it pretty please?

Many moons ago, (when I did WW no count) there was a chickpea chocolate cake that everyone raved about. I don't know how it would work on SW, but I wonder if I could find the recipe anywhere......

I suppose it would just be a case of synning some cocoa at 1syn a heaped tsp and take it from there. I wouldnt mind the Chick pea cake recipe either please
