    Evening all,

I'm happy to say my blood tests came back completely normal so theres nothing wrong with me! My doctor has no idea why I felt so rubbish recently and recommended I simply take some exercise and watch what I eat, fair enough!

I've had an EE day today

B - weetabix, vlf yoghurt and a banana
L - Cous cous with chickpeas, tomatoes and chicken
    D - Spaghetti bolognese
I've also had a hifi bar and 3 x custard creams as syns

I'm not expecting a loss this week as my aunt flo has moved in (LOL!)

SC - you could try this

Chinese Yu Sung - ready in 30 mins - serves 4 - 0.5 syn on original but you could omit the ingrediants that have syns if you wanted to

    4 x garlic cloves
    1 in root ginger
    250g can water chesnuts
    bunch spring onions
    4 carrots
    3 celery stix
1lb extra lean pork mince (or QUORN MINCE???)
    1 tbsp soy sauce
    2 tbsp oyster sauce
    1 tbsp worcester sauce
    1 tbsp red wine vinegar
    1 tsp sweetner
    1 level tsp cornflour
    iceberg lettuce

    crush garlic/peel and grate ginger/slice spr onions/drain & chop water ches/dice carrots & celery

fry garlic/ginger/spr onions ins frylite for 2-3 mins, add mince and stir

add water ches, carrots, celery and cook for further 4-5 mins

add soy/worcester/oyster/vinegar/cornflour/sweetner and cook until mince is cooked add water if mixture gets too dry

seperate lettuce leaves and wash and dry divid prok mixture between them

I made this on Sat (with pork mince) - it was lovely and made plenty for 4 people, we had it served with wedges but you could have a huge plate of salad or roast vegetables.

Firstly, I am soooo pleased that you have the all clear - you must feel very relieved. Maybe your body was using all its reserves to successfully fight an infection (like you were fighting off the flu or something) and just left you running on empty ?

As for that aunt flo.... she does get around a bit doesn't she!! :rotfl: Lets just hope shes only visiting rather than moving in!

  • absuloutely - you can get fancy with BNS soup, but you don't have to, this is about as simple as it gets and it is delicious!

I chop 1 large onion, soften in pan, add whole chopped BNS, a dried chilli (whole). Cover with chicken bovril stock (or similar). Simmer for about 20-25 mins til soft. remover the chilli, then blend until smooth.

    easy peasy :)

I forgot to look at the password this morning - anyone want to pm me or will last weeks work this week too???

The password usually lasts for about 10 days, so if you got one last Monday for instance, it should still work until Thursday this week.

consultant how many grammes of porridge oats can i have as part of my b please?

Sorry, only just back from a couple of days away so missed this post yesterday. You're allowed 28gms of porridge oats + a Scan Bran (for the extra fibre needed) to make up a HEB.

It doesn't look a lot but if you cover it with a Muller Light the night before you want it, then in the morning stir it up and add some fresh or frozen fruit, it makes a bowlful and is nicely filling.
