  • Congratulations on all the losses this week:T , everyone is doing so well.

    I did my weigh in this morning and have lost 2 lbs this week and an inch of my waist :j . That was with 4 EE days, 1 red and 2 green and even going over my syns 1 day!

    Thank you to everyone who has helped me out this week, I really appreciate it.

    Sorry to ask more questions but has anyone got a low-syn/syn-free recipe for a pepper sauce for steak. I usually use cream and have been syning it but if I could find a nice substitute recipe then I could use my syns on a couple of glasses of wine to go with it instead :D
  • ok serious question gals (sorry judderman this is for the girls)

    has doing SW messed up ur AF (aunt flo/stars/periods...whatever u call it!!hehe) i was meant to start on the 19th and no sign as yet...did start SW a few days before...an nope..not preg as checked on the 20th or 21st...cant rmbr and was a nope....

    so can anyone reassure me this is normal?

    Sorry not to be able to reassure you magicbeans, but I am pretty sure that not having your period is not a normal side effect of starting SW! I would give it another week and if nothing happens take the preg test again!

    Your meal plan looks fine to me lo-bush, unless you are having teeny tiny portions! I also don't see any syns in there - you should have these everyday!;)

    Magic - sorry, I can't reassure you either. I don't get a TOTM as such, due to my contraception.

    Due to the changes in your diet, it may well knock your body out of balance for a short while. Different vitamins and such can have an effect, so like Marion says, give it another week and see. Try not to get stressed out too much as that can delay you even more.

    hi all - my food for today:

    b: 2 bananas and some pineapple
    l: pasta n sauce made with milk (hea)
    d: chilli with rice (will probably have mozzarella as my other EE HE)

    syns.......already spent on a couple of mars bars cakes at a meeting!

    Friday is a difficult day for me, I work 8-2 without a break and it's nearly 3 by the time I get home to start my lunch. On top of that, once a month I have to go to a very long meeting on a Friday (which was today) so I'm absolutely ravenous now!

    However, I am trying to eat my delicious pasta n sauce sllllooooowwwwlllyyyy....!!!!

    Hi everyone , I havent been here for a very very long time but I am back looking for support and ideas from you lovely people.

    My story ,

    4 years ago I used to go to SW and lost 2.5 stone, then got ill , so the hospital put me on some pills BUT they made me gain 2 stone in weight . So I went back to SW and followed the diet but instead of loosing I put weight on , I was devastated.

    So here I am struggling alot , My hospital consultant has told me I will have to work at it twice as hard because of the pills.

    So I am having no syns and following red days only and doing excersize.

    any tips much appreciated.

    Sorry magic, that's never happened to me on SW though this time I'm on a different pill so I don't get any at all either.

    You will find lots of support on this thread, but I have to say from the outset that having no syns is going to make things very very tough, and ultimately, that may make it impossible for you to stick with the plan.

    Have you spoken to an SW consultant about this?

    Personally, if you need to 'work harder' on SW (and I, as a *s l o w* loser also have to keep tightly to the plan).. I would suggest the following for increasing your results despite your medical circumstances......

    drink a minimum of 1.5L water a day, spaced throughout the day, every day

    use 5 - 10 syns a day, every day (don't 'save' them up!)

    Keep a minimum of your plate as 1/3 superfree foods (foods that are free on both plans) - this will mean that you are filling up on healthy, lower calorie foods, thus increasing your chances of weight loss or..

    Follow the sucess express plan - where 2/3 of your plate is superfree

    Eat a variety of foods, albeit sticking to one plan (eg red), but varying your B choices and free choices - you are less likely to lose weight eating the same thing all the time, even if that thing is super healthy
