I have been doing EE for almost a week, but I find that I don't always use the HEB...it is not that I don't want to have cereal / bars, I just feel full up.

For instance, here is what I ate today

B - egg, beans, mushrooms, bacon (at 10am) (normal b/fast is yogurt and fruit, I am not a morning eater really)
L - baked potato, cottage cheese, cucumber, tuna with 2tbs mayo (1.5)
D - SW chips, fish (7.5), processed peas

    SNACKS : fruit, yogurt
DRINKS: 2 litres of water/SF juice, tea with milk (HEA)

I am satisfied and full up, yet I should have had a HEB...this has happened a few times, but I just don't feel hungry to eat more (don't eat bread really)

Before EE, I always stuck to green days and always used my two HEB's for cheese (in addition to HEA) and meat.

    Is anyone else like me?

  • Yes Fluffynit - I'm just like that with ee :)

This week we have been asked to keep a complete food diary :A , and I noticed tonight before cooking tea that I was a B short, so instead of using frylight, I used e.v.olive oil :rotfl:

seems loopy, but that's the rules

    Today I ate ee

B yogurt and banana, tea (milk = HA)
L cous cous, hm lamb kofta, carrots, yog and mint 'dip' salad
    snack choc 2 syns
D guinea fowl wrapped in bacon, red onions (tossed in oil!! (HB) and balsamic vinegar), spicy fondant potatoes, medlar gravy (1 syn),
    slimline tonic
    175 red wine 6 syns

Hi everybody I have mixed feelings about tomorrow now as my friend has chickened out of joining sw tomo:mad: But I am still determined to go on my own! This may seem a stupid question but are there lots of people that go on their own??
There will be soo many new people starting because it is January, that I am sure there will be plenty of people there looking for someone to chat to!

Also, it might look like everyone came with their friends, but they probably made those friends at the class, just like you will!

Yup I have kept one (not done one for 12 months!). I am intrigued to see if I have lost weight, and keeping a diary stops me from nibbles cheating :rotfl: Want to have a full "straight" week on EE, being strict.

I am keen to hear what guinea fowl tastes like...i suspect you might just say like chicken? ;)

  • And, following a request for a completely totally fabulous, easy peasy chicken curry dish (quite mild). Recipe halves really easily if you only need to serve 2, or freezes fine

Shahi Murgh - free on red or EE - serves 4

1kg skinless chicken thighs (bone in or boneless - you choose)
250g vlf or ff natural yog
    2tsp ground cumin
    2tsp ground coriander
    1/4 tsp mild chilli powder
    5 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
    10 green cardomon pods
    8 cloves
    2 cinnamon sticks
    3 bay leaves

    Season chicken thighs
Mix yogurt, cumin, ground coriander, chilli, chopped coriander.

Frylight a large frying pan. High heat, add cardomon, cloves, cinnamon and bay, stir fry for 1 min. Add the chicken and brown on all sides.

Pour over the yogurt mixture and mix well (it curdles and looks a bit odd, its fine - go with it :D)

Reduce the heat to low, cover tightly and simmer for 20 - 25 mins. Stir occasionally.

Uncover, increase the heat and cook for approx 4 more mins to thicken and reduce the sauce (it all comes together quite suddenly)

Allow to stand for 5 mins, then serve.

ive made this loads of times, even had it to snack on cold!

    its amazing!

    well worth doing

    Hi
Can anybody explain to me, what happens with snacks on the Extra easy plan. Before, when i followed red, I could have ham as a snack if I needed to - does that still stand? Or would I need to Syn it?
    Thanks in advance

hmm... similar to chicken, yes, but better than chicken imo ;) .. the bird is smaller (serving 3 max... it often just does the 2 of us  ) and the meat is 'richer'. Like all game, it is liable to dry out, hence the wrapping in bacon.

Delicious and well worth a try - somethimes you find 'supremes' for sale (breast and wing), they are well worth getting if you see them.
