    Hope I haven't offended anyone...

I'm having a nice relaxing bath before the last of our Hypnobirthing classes tonight. Then pack stuff tonight ready for tomorrow. We're hoping to leave Paisley around 3 (after the midwife takes a gallon of my blood!) So hope to be in Shrewsbury for 8ish allowing for a couple of comfort stops for me and Casper :)

And Maz how can it be selfish to take a single evening to do something for yourself?

  • I can be non-intellectual.

I went to Somerfield for a box of washing powder.

    I spent £16

I came home without any washing powder.......

(I almost keeled over at the price of butter and yogurt - 66p for a Mullerlight!)

Bottom line for me - relying on people and events you have no control over to make me happy in myself is the surest way to self destruction. Finding the ability to believe in myself and create my own happy times has allowed me to let someone else into my life to share those good times without using them to prop up my self esteem. Yes, Hubbles helps me through hard times because he loves me but I am confident in the knowledge I would get through without him around if I had to. I'm just very lucky that I don't need to cope alone.
I said pretty much the very same thing to someone in the Arms last week.

You have to be happy with yourself and love yourself too.....cos otherwise how will others?

I have always known i could cope on my own....but up until recently i have never been able to accept compliments.

Now though i can, and do, believe every word he says....and boy do i feel great:j

I found a lot of my problems were caused by being unable to speak my mind. Either for fear of upsetting people or making a fool of myself. Now i realise that all of the resentment just built up inside and ate away at me and my self esteem.

So i have decided not to do it anymore.....I have finally grown up:D

    ok enough from me:cool:

i spent £112 in asda yesterday, that didn't include the turkey/ham or sprouts which were already bought......

and this is me who never goes for a big shop!

And the only non grocery items were 2xjogging bottoms @ £1 each for me.
    slippers for Big G £6.....

so it was all grub and wine!
    ! oh dear!!!!!!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

  • Not sure I'm going to bother buying anything else (except washing powder!). I have my food coming tomorrow afternoon from the supermarket (my 1 'treat' shop per year from Waitrose) and the meat also arrives from the butchers at some point tomorrow. I've got a bottle of vodka and some cranberry juice which I bought today, there's a bottle of champagne in the fridge from last Christmas and a 2 litre bottle of cider in the shopping tomorrow - more than enough for me!!!!! I'm going to say to OH if he wants some beer, he'll have to buy it himself, as I've paid for everything else!!

I ordered my meat in September - I'm just having a look on my email now to try to remember what I've bought! :rotfl:

Ooooooooooh, !!!!!!. I Want One Of Those have just emailed to say an item I bought on Saturday is out of stock and is a discontinued line. That's the second time they have done that! Quick nip over to Firebox required!
