Bottom line for me - relying on people and events you have no control over to make me happy in myself is the surest way to self destruction. Finding the ability to believe in myself and create my own happy times has allowed me to let someone else into my life to share those good times without using them to prop up my self esteem. Yes, Hubbles helps me through hard times because he loves me but I am confident in the knowledge I would get through without him around if I had to. I'm just very lucky that I don't need to cope alone.
That's the most sense I think I've heard anyone say in years..

  • Just to change the subject!

I got an e mail from Open university saying I can't register for any of their course.

    for THREE years.

I have failed/pulled out of a fair few.

How nice of them to eventually send me the bloody e mail just before Christmas holidays so there is nothing I can do.

    I hate them.

It is childish but satisfying to say that. so there.

I'm not being intelluctual twinny spud!

I'm just shoving in time, so i can leave work and go to runclub.....

apparently it's selfish of me to go to running club when Erin is off school... but i need this run as have 5k race on sunday 28th, so can't go since last wednesday to next sunday without a run... and i know i will not be squeezing any runs in from home.. runclub keeps my discipline up....
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
    (it's part of my charm!)
  • run club sounds like fight club.

Spud I can waffle for England and listen to far too much R4....

I am going to sulk till dinner!

    see you all later

Who says it's selfish Maz? Surely we're all entitled to an hour or 2 to ourselves
