They're 5 and 7 dusty...
Rach,
Mine are 4 and 5.5. They are fundamentally incapable of sharing - I usually end up taking whatever it is away and hoping they forget about it. Fine if you stand over them whilst they play but I dont always have the time to do that.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
I agree with little me....
My older brother and i spent most of our lives running around pretending to shoot each other or stab each other with stick swords ( and they hurt)...not once in adult hood Have I decided to shoot someone or stab somebody..
besides if you get hurt when your young doing something you tend to not do it when your get older...THE SHABBY SHABBY FOUNDER0 -

Rach - I used to be the same as your friend regarding swords and guns but my son (nearly 8) just started using toilet rolls, sticks, anything at all instead of guns etc. Last christmas I relented and we got him two swords and a toy gun. He played with them like mad for two days and now plays with them occasionally. He's no longer obsessed. I'd give them what you've already got xx0

Hi everyone.
After my sleep in shift I went shopping then to bed for a few hours as I was really tired.
Just having a cuppa and a catchup of thread. Back later.0 -
I've pottered today and have done quite well really. I've been reading and cupboard clearing - two or three chapters of the book - then into the kitchen to do another cupboard. So, half the book has been read (trashy historical romance type thing set in the middle 1800s in Derbyshire/Cheshire) and two cupboards, one drawer and the cutlery drawer have been emptied, cleaned and stuff put back. Also have half a black bin liner of chipped china/rusty cutlery etc. that's only fit for the tip. So not bad in all. Only two more drawers to go and that's the kitchen thoroughly spring cleaned!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Bbbrrr...very frosty here!
Ventured into town with DD who had cash and a Dorothy Perkins giftcard burning a hole in her pocket.
I tried really hard to spend some money in the sales.
Clarks had absolutely no shoes in my size that were comfortable to wear for longer then five minutes.
Next had four of the tops that I coveted before Christmas. All size 16. I'm not.
Boots hadn't reduced the perfume giftset I fancied (probably the only one in the whole range). (Valli - I don't think there's going to be much left in the 75% off sale, the shelves looked like a hurricane had blown through).
At that point I admitted defeat and came home. I did spot some things in Principles, but judging by the way the day was going, that wouldn't have worked out either! Very Moneysaving.
We had a lovely laid back day yesterday, reading, eating chocolate, watching the DS's killing people on the PS3 all day.
I haven't done any flying as such, just a quick whisk around every morning, and a load of washing. On Monday I want to look at the carpets for the livingroom, and Tuesday we're going to Bluewater so I can buy the curtain material. Fingers crossed they actually have it left.
pigpen any list you feel like doing! I intend to focus on finishing the livingroom in January, and also getting a firm quote agreed for the cloakroom. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0
