    Morning Friends,
    snip.....
I don't know if you remember I wrote about DH and the receipt from Morries that was 7p short of £40, Well I went on to the Morries thread (yes I did venture out of here) and posted a request for a receipt. A very kind member called HAPPYROLY pmed me to say she has one and has sent it to me. I offered to pay for postage and send a gift but she wouldn't hear of it.
I told her of OS so hope she pops in, I think HAPPYROLY:A is Santa in disguise.

Off to catch up, hope you all have a good day.

((((((hugs to all)))))))))) and welcome newbies

:o helloooo, I had 2 receipts, I was sure someone would need them so I "hovered" over the Morrisons thread. Pleased they both found good homes!
Will pop in again............ there seems to be a lot to read over here :D

Betheebee, I know we're supposed to keep mainly ( or I think even a littley) to OS, but nobody expects us not to post our worries and concerns. I certainly didn't understand the guidelines to mean we shouldn't air worries about family etc. Anyway, (((hugs))) to you all. It certainly is a worry for you. ( Separate story, but I'm very *in touch* with malignant melanoma, so do understand that one. I'm a survivor (twice!!!) it can be done) I pray for you all, and hope you can draw strength from the community that is the OS board. The reason I haven't posted much lately is because I haven't had a single interesting thing to say:o And unlike the betheebee whirlwind, I achieve very little in a normal day:rotfl:

smokybabe, lovely to hear from you:D I do try to imagine how terribly hard this is for you ( first Christmas etc) but to be honest, I don't think I come anywhere close:o I'm not sure that anyone who hasn't endured what you have, can. But love, hugs and prayers for you and the children. I know what you mean about plastic flowers, but I bet Eric had a laugh at them:D
You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

I know it's not OS but,,,,,, it's not good news for my DB2. DH and I went down to Dartmouth to deliver Xmas to him.
We all had a great time then he told us the latest results of his tests.
    Not good news
    I am so worried.
I love my 2 Brothers, both of them have the big "C" :(

I didn't mention that DB1 had a car crash and has 14 staples in his head and 2 broken ribs, DSis in law has a broken arm .Local hosp shut down so they have find some other place to be treated (they lives in Spain) so has to pay megga bucks (eueros) to have treatment.

    Dear God give us strength.

Sorry for all bad news, but thought that if I posted late at night most people wont read this and have reason to complain that it's not OS.

Aw honey, I am so sorry you are going through all this. I wish I could give you a great big hug. OS or not we are here for you as you have been for me and others. I will pray for you all hun.

  • Just wanted to add my good wishes to Beetheebee and to say how sorry I am to read about her family problems/illnesses.
I am sure there are a lot of OS posters who will be offering their loving support.

beth - dont worry about not being OS - when I lost my friend a week ago everyone was absolutely brilliant to me and their support has kept me going.
We will be there for you too. I am so sorry that the news was not good(((hugs))) to you and your DB and his family.

Smoky - (((hugs))) It must be so difficult for you all on your first Christmas.
The story about the girl from work was so heartwarming - thankyou for sharing it - you are a lovely bunch of people at your work:T

If supporting friends and family through trials and tribulations isn't OS, I don't know what is. In our "modern" world, it seems the sense of community has all but disappeared in most places. I'm glad it's still alive and well here.

(((((((((((((((((((((((((Beth)))))))))))))))))))))))))))) lots of hugs and prayers for you and yours.
