We're not in recession until we've had 2 quarters of negative growth, we've only had one although clearly we're (you're) in the midst of the second.
The recession is going to hurt Aus a lot so please don't think I'm crowing in any way. I'm not.
Happy Christmas my dear old thing anyway.0 -

Thanx Generali, I have learnt alot from you over the last few months.
Why do you think Aus will suffer?
I hope our top managers are right in their estimation that by middle 2009 everyone should start pulling out of this horrible time.
But by reading your postings I think it is going to take a damn sight longer.
Englands loss is Aussy's gain, good luck for the future and Happy Christmas to you and your family.0 -

Trust me on this one, I KNOW what I'm talking about.
Are you one of those Puggles? It would explain a lot.

He cant understand that everything is not as bad as he wants it to be and then starts hurling abuse.
He needs to learn from you lot and do a bit of research first which would make him a much better challenge.
I've been doing a bit of research on mortgage multiples, found this gem from a year or so ago:

It was certainly pretty busy but I still managed to get a parking space in the main drag on the first swoop round..mind you, no waiting around to be served in any of the shops I went in but then I was only picking a few bits up and I was maybe lucky and missed the main rush.
Went into Morrisons on the way home for some non alcoholic wine and lager (after a tea stop at my parents which turned into a watching a film stop) and it looked like people preparing for WW3 had struck....loads of shelves completely devoid of things although I picked up some great bargains for a fraction of the normal cost.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

"Everyone has a choice, 13 years ago we started with one grand buying properties no one else wanted. We have just exchanged today on a house that we will turn in six months into a 600 hundred grand property to go with our 4 rentals Get off your @rse , stop blaming every one else and turn your life around"
"Never had negative equity, when I bought 1st property had large saved deposit, otherwise building society would not have contemplated giving mortgage"
