Nah, mine was 17Dec till 21 Jan, Hoping for better things when the next one matures. This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0 -
Just rang the FSCS re a FRB which matured the 4th Dec plus another which matured the 26th Dec. Form sent back straight after we got ie 15th Dec. The nice lady on the help line claimed they have no record of receipt on our file. She suggested sending in a copy by registered mail plus a cover letter saying this is what they asked us to do. I suggest that if anybody is in the same position as us that they contact the FSCS and verify they have the form. It sounded as though there was some caos at the centre.0

Sorry for the typo :
chaos, chaos , chaos its everywhere0 -
From the other thread I see that a large number of us did just that, called them to confirm receipt of the form: it doesn't look like they did.
However, rather than every single person's form having been lost in the post, it seems more likely that they've received but not included them in the system.
(I really don't want to believe that they threw away all paperwork received....)Being brave is going after your dreams head on0 -

Tulip's was 28th Jan to 5 Feb.. ! Maturity date to cheque receipt.
BTW They told me on Thursday they haven't started normal course January maturities yet, expect to start mid Feb.0 -
they haven`t done some of the nov maturity bonds either. Dh now in 12th week and waiting0

There are a couple of other late Jan maturities that have received cheques today (on another thread) - I think another phone call on Monday is called for0

I sent my claim form on 18/01/09 (didn't even send recorded) for my fixed rate bond which matured on 28/01/09. Did not chase up as I was leaving it a while as several on this site have been waiting a long time and thought they must be doing it in some sort of order!! Then yesterday I received my cheque - 10 days after maturity and interest caclulation as near as I can calculate, spot on to the maturity date. I am obvisously one of the very lucky ones and cannot fault the system - hope everybody who is still waiting has a cheque dropping through their letterbox VERY soon.0

A large FSCS envelope arrived today addressed to my wife (she's out) It matches the one my Fixed rate cheque came in. Nothing too surprising till I explain that she only posted her claim form last Wednesday! ( don't ask why, she's had it since 20 dec)
My new theory is that FSCS have a big pile of mail that is added to daily, and they simply deal with the ones on top first. This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0 -
How annoying is all this? I phoned again this morning, and was then called back by the lady I spoke to last week. Apparently my form has been received and 'is being processed'. She claimed that all accounts that matured in Jan are in the system and that over 3000 cheques are being sent out soon. So when I said I'd call again on Friday if I hadn't received my cheque, she suggested I should leave it at least 7-10 days ... aaarrrggghhhh0
