Well done BB, how much are you going to tell OH it cost :D

PMSL.....................well, as he hasn't offered to pay for a replacement   , I am going to tell him it was £2.31 as he was soooooooo sure I wouldn't get one anywhere close to £25 and so I really should go through my insurance company and get an LCD and have it above the fireplace.

Now, if I were a cynic, I'd think back to the conversation the day before this happened when I was looking at the Tesco Direct catalogue and said 'I was just looking at LCD's. I think a 32 inch one would look great on the chimney breast'.........and he got very excited (he is obsessed with wanting an LCD here or at his house).........next day? Whoops, the TV has 'accidentally' fallen on the floor........but, a coincidence........obviously......

Wow well done on the cheap tv BB! Hope everyone's doing ok, I've spent the weekend so far sleeping and coughing, am so knackered. Started packing for going away on Weds but not got very far! Very soon to be ex-OH was round yesterday, I didn't have energy to talk about stuff but as if I needed any more confirmation, he was annoyed about the fact I wanted to go to sleep cos I felt rough! Sympathy, no. Completely selfish, yep!

  • I'm going to have a go at making toffee as I have black treacle and brown sugar inthe cupboard from making the cake. Not made it before so will be interesting to see how it comes out. I'm hoping to be able to break it up and wrap in greaseproof and then pop in a couple of Christmas gift tins I kept from last year and use them as little presents.

I've emailed the seller of the TV and an out of office has bounced back from his work email saying he is out of the office until 2 Jan. Guess he will have to contact me with his address then!

Edit: scrub the toffee idea - I don't have enough butter!

  • They are Len. Even a flatscreen (but still CRT) one second hand is around £40 or so on ebay and around £70 with a stand.

This was my second choice at £34.95 Buy it Now and they would have delivered free from near Weymouth

the only difference being it was a flatscreen.

"Sly hoovering to avoid confrontation"? where do I get one? can I have one that also cleans bathrooms to avoid nagging please?

at least he's doing something useful instead of sitting around flicking tv channels and farting!
