Thank you all for your advise on my casserole. It is ready:eek: way too early but never mind....it tastes fab:T. I put it in the SC this morning on high:rolleyes: hence it being cooked already. I added a tablespoon of tikka spice mix and celery, courgette and parsley in addition to the previously listed ingredients and it really is a very yummy very cheap discovery :D. I will heat it up at dinner time and serve it with rice.

Sounds lovely..... might have to nab ingredients list ;)

Had a great night out last night, left early & was home by 11:30 & a good job too as hubby was really keen to take my DGS to buy some new fish for our fish tank, DGS chose them so we have some female guppys & some dalmation mollys. Hubby is a nightmare & never says no to DGS, after choosing the fish he then took him to the village shop & bought him some GOGO'S. I gave them both a stern talking to, but I think DGS took more notice than hubby.
Halight, sorry to hear about your job, hugs to Hilstep, Mrs Mix & anyone else in need.
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Afternoon all,

Wedding was nice but we came home after the meal...had one glass of wine with that but would have liked another so thought that I would never get away...home and in bed by 11 so feeling very virtuous!

Have been and done most of my shopping for the next week, Lidl seemed quieter than usual, either people are being more careful or more organised. Will send some of the offspring for last minute stuff on Wed morning and then just relax...too much stress otherwise.

Hope that people who have been ill are feeling better and that those seeking jobs have some success, not easy time of the year.

    Happy Christmas everyone

Not much in the way of OSing today, I left everybody asleep in the house this morning so I've got my birthday presents to open when I get home.

Jorgan, is it your Birthday today ? if so have a great day, many happy returns  :j :T .

Went out early this morning and got a turkey crown from somerfield, 1/2 price, we then went to the car boot sale and got all the veg for Xmas, onto the spud place, who had ran out  , so will have to go back tomorrow, then on for a long walk with little dog, who is now asleep in her bed :T .

Got some smoked salmon reduced to 67p in somerfield and smoked salmon mousse for £1, so will have that with some nice bread for tea, have also got ham for dd, chese and pickles, will have a help yourself type of thing.

Well I was getting to the point where I thought I wasn't going to get anything done! Started bounty balls, had to collect ds from his dancing engagement (LOL) dh's mate arrived bearing birthday gift for me for tomorrow, so would have been churlish not to sit with them and have a cuppa. DS wanted a lift to his charity shop session as he was late because of the dancing. Felt as if was getting nowhere, needed to achieve, so have made the Nutella cake from the domestic goddess book, not as extravagant as it sounds, eggs to use up before Christmas, nutella (750g for £1.50) and chocolate (galaxy dark 40p) at bargain prices and hazelnuts lurking and well out of date. Will either freeze resulting cake for New year's eve or take to mum's for Xmas eve tea. It smellls absolutely gorgeous.

Trying to base all my baking on what is in the baking drawer at present (well, that gives me plenty of choice. Would I be too embarrassed to post a picture? I think I need an inventory, then you can give me your best ideas. Perhaps that would be in another thread!

Isn't it amazing how much you can get done with a hangover? :rotfl:

We went to town, visited friends and their baby (I've learnt how to pronounce his name now, lol), and 2 supermarkets. Oh and mr tru's fave beer shop. I've cleaned out 4 hutches.
We dropped master tru in town, then met up with him later. Then he showed us his just-done tattoo faint.gif I like it actually :D

I was looking forward to watching Fred Claus tonight but BIL and nephew are coming round. That'll be FIVE DAYS IN A ROW that I've seen people, far too much for me, so tomorrow the front curtains stay shut and the doorbell (currently set to 'we wish you a merry Christmas') will be ignored :D
