Helloooooo all !
I have had a truly wonderful weekend
Friday Pip was 6 months old so OH took the afternoon off as a surprise and we went for a lovely long walk by the canal, had an ice cream and a cheeky bottle of wine. I picked some Elderflowers and have now turned them into cordial, thanks to Hampsters recipe.
Yesterday I went to London with some pals to see Priscilla Queen of the Desert in the West End and it was fantastic and we got to see Jason Donovan afterwards.
Whilst we enjoyed the show though the heavens had opened and all the tube stations got flooded and we then spent 6 HOURS trying to get across London to get back to the car. Had to walk most of it, it was ok though a bit of an adventure!! Tickets we had got half price, drove part way soonly had to pay tube not full train fare, used a 2 for 1 voucher for dinner and bought sweeties from sainsburys, 2 for £2.50, instead of from theatre, £3 per bag
Today we went for a lovely walk in the park, had a BLT and coffee in the cafe and an icecream. Came home and tidied garden, potted on some tomatoe plants, picked some strawbs and have now listed a few bits on Ebay.
People came to collect the bed we sold on Ebay this morning before our walk, she bought her sister and the sister liked the sofa and chair so I said half joking "you can have them for £350" and she rang her OH to come look and he liked it too so they said OK!We are keeping hold of it for the moment as they need to get rid of their old one but it doesnt really matter as flat is still on market anyway. When we get the money I can pay it straight off of a card.
Chev - Daisy bag is from a book called Fabulous, flirty knits. It is a messenger style bag and is soooooooo simple to be honest. You cast on 56 stitches and then its just 1 purl, 1 plain repeated. Then there is a daisy pattern that again is quite simple and then you continue 1 purl, 1 plain until its as big as you want and then fold it and stitch it up! I am going to make a couple as they look nice and are easy. Will post a pic when Ive finished it.

Ah hun, hope you feel better soon!!!! Drink some homemade lemon and honey (squeeze half a lemon into a cup, add 1-2 teaspoons of hunny and top up with boiling water) You wont taste it the first few times but when you start to taste it you know its working. Can really feel the difference from the first cup!!!!!

Hope you feel better soon Pipsmum.
Had a bad few days. Lovely weekend, went on a spa weekend for friends 40th. Not very MSE but really nice. Got back on Sunday and dog was ill, ended up calling emergency vet, £250 call out and then she had to have an op yesterday so that was another £500. Very expensive few days therefore. She is recovering well though so worth every penny. Also some nasty person keyed down the side of the hire car we had for friends birthday weekend. Managed to T Cut most of it out so don't have to pay excess.
DS1 started apprenticeship yesterday and loves it but he is so tired, these youngsters don't know what hard work is!!
Good night all x0 -

Hello Everyone
I have been AWOL again, its really silly but someone on here (here being forum not this thread) really annoyed me and I didnt want to log on anymore. But now I realise thats silly so I will just avoid that thread from now on.
Mum2one - hope apprenticeship is going well for DS still.
Spends - Glad you enjoyed the spa, how lovely. Hope doggy is better too.
So what have I been up to?
No more debt busting has been going on but have got some good news moneywise. My boss came to my house to do my 1to1 and I managed to do enough before I went on Maternity Leave to get my bonus, should be about £300 :j.
Man rang about the sofa and he is coming to pick it up on Thursday so thats another £350 :j
Sold a few more bits of furniture on Ebay, some did OK some did Pants = Dining table and 4 chairs went for £16:eek:
The bonus and sofa money will just go into the savings pot to keep us going until I go back to work on 1st September, then whatever I havent used will get paid off of the credit card.
I got fed up with our bathroom looking so rubbish with its peeling paint and wallpaper so I have spent a little bit of money doing it up. Ive been painting all weekend and just need to do the finishing touches, reckon Ive done it all for just over £100 including flooring as we were really lucky and the shop had reduced loads of packets of floor tiles to £1 for 11 as the packaing was missing!
Going to work for a few hours tomorrow, working 8 -1. They are going to catch me up on some stuff and I will get paid for it which is great.
Well I am off to finish the bathroom so i can have a nice bath before an early night before WorkDebt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T
