hi pips mum. glad that you have paid off a card. Can you make sure that your OH gets it in writing that his firm will pay for any charges that result from his wages being wrong? Might cover you a bit.
I agree what others have said about getting pip into a routine before you go back to work, but not all for him, some of it for you...I had to wean my self off my DS1 before I went back to work, or else I would have pined for him!!!
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

hi sorry was away for the weekend visiting the out laws - i survived as did they so things could have been worse.
The mincemeat cake is really easy
4oz marg
4oz brown sugar
2 large eggs
12oz mincemeat
7oz sr flour
little milk if necessary (i've never found it necessary yet)
i just shove it all in the bowl and mix together, it ends up gooey but not too runny.
15 mins at 160 and then 1 - 1 1/4 hrs at 150.
I put mine in a tall 7" tin0 -
ummmmmm, that sounds yummy lemon tree, im sure i spotted a rogue jar of mincemeat in my cupboards...........................December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22
Weight loss: 1.5lbs0 -
Ha ha ha! I forgot that you get on as well with your outlaws as I do Lemontree
Chev - Havent heard any more about the charges from OHs work. Its so frustrating
Well I have been a naughty girl and not done a meal plan for this week but do you know what.....Im hating it. Back to square one with "what shall we have for dinner?" "Dont know, not bothered, what do you want?" "Well what do you want?" Aaaaaaaaaaaaaghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh:mad::mad::mad: As soon as I get a free minute I am oing to do the rest of this week and next weeks too.
My stripey Jumper came and its fab, 90% Merino wool and 10% silk, not bad for an Ebay cheapy!!
I have began crafting for Christmas in earnest.
Posted on the what DFW things thread that I had baby food jars and it was a shame to just recycle them. Someone came up with the fab idea of turning them into little tea light holders. Ive used some bright red nail varnish to paint flowers on and got 2 for £1 nailvarnish on the market today, 1 yellow for the flowers centres and 1 sparkley for the rest of the surrounding jar. They look really cute.
Also carrying on knitting the Daisy bag for my best friend, its coming along nicely. To top it off I have a couple of cross stitches on the go too!
Ive finished my blanket for soweto so need to wrap and post that, also have completed a few other things on my 101list so I am happy.
No debt busting going on, just surviving!!Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T
2020 the year of less - Less debt, less waste, less spending, less stuff, less stress!0 -
Evening all
Lemontree cake sounds yummy, I will give that a go too. Do you use a loaf tin?
Pipsmum well done on the blanket. Tea lights sound lovely too.
My DS1 got the apprenticeship, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. He starts next Monday. That will save me loads of dosh as he can keep himself now. Said I would not take keep as long as he saves money into an account each week. He was 17 yesterday and we have bought him his first five driving lessons.
Pipsmum you have done really well on the debt busting and just surviving is good. You can go at the debt again when you are back to work, this time is precious. Know what you mean about the meal planning. I am rubbish unless I know what we are supposed to be eating and I end up spending more.
Night night all. x0 -

I've used a round tin and a square tin so i reckon a loaf tin would be fine.
congratulations to your son on getting the apprentiship, what a good start at 170 -
Pips mum i love the smileys which hit each other, we never get to that stage, but i did end up sitting in the living room for 7 hours, 6 hours of which MIL spent conducting all her conversations in Italian, not that she was trying to exclude me or anything - yer right. but at least the duty is done for a few more months. Funny thing is FIL anounced that when we have a baby our flat won't be big enough so we'll have to get a bigger place with gas. Like it all just grows on trees, and hey we've been married less than a year maybe we don't want a honeymoon baby.
love the idea of tea lights, i've got some glass paints which have just sat in a box for years, guess i could do something similar. My sister has got some £1 airtight jars and is layering in the ingredients for a cake, which she'll then print out at attach with a ribbon and a spoon, she nicks all the good ideas! Heaven know's what i'll be doing this year, last year i got away with wedding photo's but will have to have a rethink this year.0 -
Brilliant news about the apprenticeship. Had all that heartache a few years ago with DS2 so know what you were going through. Good luck to your boy.0
