SO I sat with my notebook and tea and now have a grand plan for Christmas! :santa2: I bought a couple of nice bits for presents yesterday from the pound shop, I am actually really pleased with the bits I got. The Teachers all now have a pretty Christmas tin of biscuits £1! Pip has been a bt "challenging" at school since I was poorly and the Teachers have all been AMAZING so I wanted to say Thanks.
I've sorted out new Breakdown cover, Thanks Groupon and your special code! Instead of paying £7 a month I've now paid £25 for the year and got homestart which I didn't have before!
Mr Pips sorted car insurance out yesterday and got that cheaper than renewal quotes so thats 2 saves in the bag!
I've done some surveys so that's a bit more to the christmas pot too.
I'm off to watch the F1 now, my one expensive pleasure, we have it through a deal on Now TV and it's cancelled for when the season finishes. I need to do some calculations of cheapest way to watch it next season!

Hampsterpoo Well done on the form, I never understood the uniform tax thing so never did it and now I don't wear uniform!
Lemontree Nope they weren't my first thought for nreakdown cover either but it popped up on a search, I did some research on the company too and all feedback seems ok so I've given it a go. Veyr lucky that there was also the extra discount code on the day that I did it.
Thank you PurpleMum hope you are all ok?
My Friend came last night and told us we are getting a christmas hamper from her church! I'm blown away. They have helped us so much when I had to stop working altogether because of my health and we received some food hampers (they distribute "out of date" food with a local scheme) so they said they know how the year has been tough and it was a gift to make Christmas easier. I'm so happy as YES it definitely will make it easier.
I got paid Monday so all my payments have gone out, just above minimums on all. Gas and Elctric meters are topped up and hopefully will last the month. I also did a home delivery mystery shop so got £15 of free food, and the delivery for free. I made sure to get lots of tinned bits etc as I'm hoping it will last in to January. We get paid on the 18th instead of the 25th so January will be loooooooooooooooong and we also have Pip's 11th Birthday early Jan too.
I finally rang and rearranged a direct debt, it keeps bouncing as they take it almost at the end of the pay month and then they charge me a fee so a 5 minute phonecall will save me £15 in charges a month.
Mr Pips is on the phone to some energy suppliers to see if we can get a deal, the prepayment meter makes it hard though which is frustrating.
Right thats all for now.
