How had I forgotten about Mystery Shopping!!!

I'm booked in for 3 snoops with a total of £26  hoping to use it to pay off some debts as that in turn will lower our monthly outgoings. Feeling happy :j

    Busy week.
Full time at work again this week, including a full day on Bank Holiday Monday at time and a half :D Have managed to get another full week of work as someone signed off for the week, so another 39 hours.

Have managed to get lots of cheapy food bargains when I've finished my shift, got 2 large packs of pork stirfry strips for £1 today so they are in the freezer ready for next months meal plan.

I've made a couple of extra payments to CC's just little dinkiy ones but they all add up.

I've superglued my work boots back together so fingers crossed everyone that they stick or I'm going to have a wet foot until payday :rotfl:

Have done 3 mystery shops, just waiting to hear if they have been accepted, so that should be another £26 next month.

Pips Birthday tomorrow, he will be 8!!! _party_ How on Earth did that happen! Remember clearly being on Maternity leave, pregnant with him when I joined MSE.

Sure I posted an update before? Oh well , never mind!

    Earnings wise -
I've been doing overtime to take me up to full time hours still and I've also managed to do quite a few mystery shops so should get over £70 next month from those. I've sold quite a few bit's on Ebay (£40) and I've done a fair few surveys with prolific too, £7 so far.

Mr Pips has set up as his own business, he should stop getting JSA this week and start getting the new start allowance but it's all very faffy and 1 hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing so I strongly suspect it's going to c**k up somewhere and we will be left without. He has been going to some networking meetings but no customers as yet :-(

    Spendys -
Food shop for the month came to £130, I budgetted £150 so have been using the spare for bread and milk.
Paid a little above minimums on all the debts.
Have 1 more month mortgage free then will have to start paying, I've set aside £200 from this month and hopefully can do the same next payday to give us a little cushion.
I had a little treat with some of the Ebay money and bought the new one pound meals cook book that came out, hoping for some ideas for next months meal plan.
Ordered Merlin passes for another year, we ask Family fo rmoney for the Childrens christmas presents and use this to buy the passes, we then take Friends and Family out to make memories with the cheap tickets we can get for F&F. Used Quidco so should get a whopping £60 back when it's authorised!
Managed to get a cash and carry card! :j:j:j 48 toilet rolls for £10 Thank you very much :rotfl:Initially went for a scouting mission so look forward to payday and doing some actual shopping there in bulk.
We changed energy suppliers to a cheaper one, Scottish Power sent us a fianl bill saying we owed them £30, we rang them and said it couldn't be right as we have a prepayment meter and no debt with them, they looked and agreed :rotfl:

    Tesco £2,229
    Isme £624
    Next £446
    Santander £677

    Total = £3976

    Well Hello, hello, hello!

2017 was the last time I posted which is ridiculous as it seems 2 minutes ago!

Well as you can summise from the fact that I am back as a regular user of MSE it's not all going to plan! So here's a little update.

I've had to drop down to part time after having worked full time for the last 2 years+ as I've been really poorly (off work completely for 6 months) and full Time was just too much to return too.I had to decide money or health which is a tough chice to make but only one obvious route really. Mr Pips still has his own business which is ticking over but not making millions so overall the debt has sneaked up rather than down. So I'm going to add it all up below for the first time in a long time so if you hear a scream it's just me! The thought of Christmas is petrifying to be honest, I've spoken to my cousins ect (both young couples with new mortgages, babies and fur babies) and we have set a £10 per couple limit, this then extended to my Uncle and Auntie and Mum and Dad too which will be a big help but theres still Pip (who is now 10!) and Pea who just turned 7 as well as food and neccessarys so it's going to be a damage limitation Christmas I think with trying to put as little on debt as possible.

Anyway I've put it off long enough here's my debt totals:

    Next £928
    Very £1329
    Santander £700
    Tesco £1800
    Fluid £504

    Total £5261

So that's depressing! BUT when I originally joined MSE back in 2008 it was over £17,000 so I guess I should stay positive about that.

I'm off to sit with a notebook and cup of tea and try and figure this Christmas thing out!

Thank you for popping by x x
