It sounds like a brill vacancy, I doubt they would move it 15mins later, but most schools have a brekfast club, or by then you may have a parent you could share the school run with.

Have you had a look on entitledto website to give you an idea what tax credits would be and work on the basis that you may only get 1/4 of it, xxx

    Hello Hello!

Got ridiculously excited today about 2 things....

    1) Coupons! - I got a £5 off £40 Aldi voucher for next week and it also had some others to use on stuff I would buy anyway. Also got some Morrisons ones in the free paper £5 off £35 and £3 off £20.

    2) Received a ginormous survey in the post along with a fiver and another £10 when I return it!

Nobody else except you guys would appreciate why I found these so exciting!

Went to the Surestart centre today for play group and was chatting to one of the really lovely workers who I havent seen for a while. Was telling her all about the Tax office and how we are totally skint, She came back and said these might be of interest to you and gave me a huge bag of Girls clothes! She said don't feel I had to have them if I didnt want them but as I said to her I'm not too proud to accept hand me downs. There was some really cute little bits in there and now I know they have them I can take in Peas old ones when she outgrows so they can help someone else :-)

Spoke to Moorgate about the loan the other day and again they were really nice and have accepted £20 a month until next July.

Thats all for me so will pop by and check on you lot!

  • Just a note re Tax Credits....Tax Credits worked out that myself and partner owed them over 1k from 2011/12 and requested repayment a few months ago, I disputed it but got nowhere. They sent a demand for payment - 'we' couldn't pay in one go especially as myself and partner are now separated, so I rang the repayments department and haggled out a deal with them - I am now paying back my 'half' at rate of £7 a week for foreseeable (ex is doing the same) - they were quite open to negotiation of payments depending on your personal circumstances, affordability etc - so when they do demand payment from you, call them and see what you can negotiate. I am slightly miffed that I have to pay it at all, I never understand the notices they send out and ring them with all changes so never get why I end up owing anything...but at least I didn't have to find all the money in a lump sum. I haave worked pt-ft almost constantly since my boys were babies and I find overall that I am better off working, maybe only to tune of a few hundred a month but it all helps, you get help towards childcare costs too if you use a registered provider. Tax Credits go up and down accordingly - swings and roundabouts.

    Hello hello! :p

Its wet and yuck today and windy.
I got a gazebo for free last month and its been fantastic, great for drying the washing on wet days and keeping shady on the hot days :T

Made a little trip to Mr Ts today aremed with some coupons, woman behind was doing her nut but I don't really care. She was moaning to woman behind her "all that to save a few pence" and not a minute before I had heard her saying she had popped in on way to cinema with grand kids to buy sweets as she wasnt paying the cinemas price! Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr so saving a few pence then just like me then hey lady!!

Still old trouts aside I had a very good shop as got £35 worth for £11 :T:T. Also got a £6 off a £40 shop for next week, got a £4.50 off £30 one for this week for Sainsbugs so not going to be a loyal shopper when I can get discounts somewhere else.

J20 was my best bargain, should be £4.28 but in Mr Ts its half price and I had £1 off coupon so got 4 for £1.14:T

Wanted to buy the smart trike for Peas Christmas present, its half price in Argos at minute and I have some love to shop vouchers so could have got it for nothing but its out of stock in our 10 nearest stores

Anything exciting going on with you lot?

Shame about pea's xmas pressie. Hate it when they run out of stuff you want, usually put it back up to normal price when it comes back into stock as well

Whoop whoop to exciting things!!! Pippi x x x

Well I have bitten the bullet today and applied for a job. Waitrose are opening a brand new store, very nearby to where Pip will be at school. I doubt they will even consider the application as you could choose your hour restrictions so I put only available 10 - 2 Monday - Thursday but I figured as its a brand new store they would hopefully have more scope for random hours such as those!!
