Doing amazingly. Hope Pea soon grows out of the 2am party phase!! Can't even say sleep when they sleep when you've got a busy little Pip as well! But get as much rest as you can nevertheless.

    Hello!
Sorry its been ages since I updated. My wound is still open and very sore been on antibiotics for 4 weeks, bit fed up now as cant do much still.
Had 6 week check yesterday and they found Pea has a heart murmur, Doc said dont worry as its likely to solve itself and got to go back in a few weeks for another check. I hate the thought of her being poorly.
Money wise its the same, head down and keep swimming. Need to get my food shop under control again as its gone a bit wild.
    Hows everyones Christmas prep going?

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Its so cold here, hope you are all snug and warm.:snow_laug We are all doing well, Pea weighs 12lb now and is 3.5 months old, where did that time go?????????????????????????

I thought I would pop on and have a bit of a mental purge moneywise on here!:D

One of the main areas I had let slip moneywise was my food shop so this year I am working on reigning that in a bit. Ive switched back to doing the bulk of my week shop at Aldis (still need Mr Ms for Baby Milk and a few other bits) and Ive managed to cut it down by about £30 a week. Today I discovered we have a new Farmfoods which I think will help me lower it even more as I got lots of offers, going to use up some stuff and go and do a monthly freezer fill up shop there.

As usual I have got everybodys Birthday pressies for the year in the Sales, even got a few Christmas presents this year! They are all wrapped and ready to be pulled out the cupboard. This saves me so much money and means I don't have to worry about forgetting someone!!

Redeemed £80 from Topcashback and chose the Highstreet vouchers so got 4% extra. Also redeemed some points on Maximiles and got a Tomy bathtoy for my friends little ones Birthday for nothing.

Mr Pips crashed the car before Christmas and finally today we heard from Admiral that they want to right it off, we have bought it back as salvage as Mr Pips work are Car finishers and can do all the repairs. Pain as it will be logged by DVLA as a Cat C right off (means it can be repaired but its costly) but at least we will get the car back. His insurance premium is going to go absolutely through the roof though at renewal time grrrrrr!:mad:

This needs to be the year of the house! We are going to need to do quite a bit of painting, decorating and possibly even building work as we only have 2 bedrooms but really need 3, this means we either need to extend or move. Moving is not really an option at the minute sadly, don't think we would get a mortgage (only 1 wage and OH has an appaling credit history) so that leaves building and renovating this house which of course isn't cheap! Really need to sort out the mould problem in the bedrooms caused by condensation, trickle vents or airbricks need fitting, walls need cleaning all down and then repainting. Starting it all by getting carpet on stairs and landing and also in Pip/Peas room, they measured up the other day and we are going in Saturday to choose carpets. Pea is still in with us at the minute but as soon as she sleeps through the night she will be moving in with Pip, need to figure out best way to fit everything in there!!! Also want to move bath and fit a shower, which would leave us with spare room in bathroom to turn into a walk in closet (not big enough for a bed sadly LOL!)

Still getting my Maternity allowance until May so trying to save as much as possible for when it stops. Looking at the childcare costs though we could not afford for me to return to work until Pip goes to school in September so means I can be a stay at home mummy a bit longer. I actually think I am more use at home though as I can make savings and research stuff better than if I worked.

We are having a Naming ceremony for Pea in June, doing a vinateg teaparty theme. Managing to do it all on the cheap so far, got her complete outfit from Monsoon in the sale for £27 including shoes, tights and dress!

Of course I want to shift that last £3,000 of debt this year too.

Dont want to do much do I!!!:eek::eek:

Can't think of anything else at present and my head feels a lot better for writing it! Congratulations if you read through that lot, you have earned yourself a nice glass of wine!!

Going to try and keep posting better than I have been as it really does help.
