Oh my gosh I just realised how long its been since I posted!!

Under 2 weeks now until Pea arrives

Have been working through my lists I wrote (Winter prep, Christmas shopping, things to do before Pea arrives) and all but a couple are ticked off.

I only have 3 people left to buy Christmas pressies for and Ive also got from now until the mid January Birthday presssies ready too! Managed to get Pip a bike and safety set half price in Argos and then a Leappad explorer for half price from Amazon for his Birthday in early Jan.

Final Winter prep things will be done this weekend hopefully leaving us free to have a really nice "3 of us" weekend next one, thinking of taking Pip to the local drive through safari park (means I can sit down!:rotfl:) and then we are having tea out on the Saturday and also going for a Carvery on the Sunday. I know its all expense but I figured A) it will be ages before we go out again and B) it will be lovely to give Pip a really nice weekend before his world shifts a fair bit!!!:p

In other news Mum and Dad are giving me, what they are calling, an advance on my inheritance!! :D Up to £4000 to get a new(er) car as mine only has 3 doors and its killing me getting Pip in and out let alone when Pea arrives too. Looked at a few and at the minute a 2004 Citroen Picassa is winning, looking at a couple more this weekend.
Anybody got any thoughts on the Picassa?

Ummmmmmmmmmm cant think of anything else I need to tell you all, hope your all ok?

That sounds fab plan to spend the time as 3 of you, can't believe its less than 2 weeks for peas arrival,

Thats a lovely gift from mum and dad, fitreon sounds nice xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
  • We had one for a while before it was damaged in some gales!! We loved it, roomy, economical and quite sturdy. I would still have it now if I could. It was a 52 plate I think and my husband was not convinced when I got it, but even he changed his mind.
It will be great for a pram, shopping, kids etc and low on insurance.
    Good luck with everything.

Sounds like a great idea for a weekend, and can excuse the spends as you say, it's not like it's something you can do regularly. I wish we'd had the chance to do that before DS2 arrived, but we'd just moved house so literally couldn't have the time :( which is very sad really. I had visions of the baby sleeping in a cardboard box otherwise. Well, not actually because they were all still full of stuff :rotfl: (Shhh, but some of them still are 9 months later :o)

I know people with a Citroen Picasso and they both love it!
Bit heavy on the tax though, but to be expected from a bigger car.

Thanks all and Hi Jaspers Mum!

Tax for the citroen would be £135 for the year which is the same as our focus, looked at a CMax and the tax for that was £200!!!

This is our last "doing" weekend, Pip is going to stay with my friend for the day on Saturday so Mr Pips and I can get last bits done, next week just want to do a couple of bits like change all the beds and dust and hoover. Really looking forward to havng a fun weekend next week :-)

    Phew busy busy weekend!!

Chose a new car and I pick it up on Thursday, we went for the Ford C-Max in the end as it was a 1.8 petrol, yes the tax is whacking but we only have to pay that once a year. It just felt a bit better to me when we test drove them both, I guess because our other car is a ford too. They gave us £500 for my poor old gal Ruby which is not bad at all for an X reg.

Have spent quite a bit of time in the garden chopping stuff back and tidying so its ready for us to forget about it over Winter now!!

One set of curtains up in living room, Mr Pips just gone to Wickes for wall plugs and then will do the other set. Ive just tidied up all the bedrooms and hoovered, swept and mopped hallway , kitchen and bathroom. Going to tackle living room next and then can just keep on top of it through the week.
