No Money Mummy to Millionaire Mummy!!

Ditto from me re the job front, hope everything ok.
I've only got one, but that wasn't through choice, as I would have loved another, as I grew up a only child, my sister had passed away 2 yrs before I was born, and after me, my mum couldn't have any more kids.
I didn't want dd to be only one, but unfortunately her dad was the biggest ar*e hole on the world, and due to my previous car accidents, my back only just got through having DD, I've been on crutches for 8 yrs, (but looking on the positive there was a 50/50 chance I would have been in a wheelchair).
But if I could have had a 2nd child I would have done, there is never a right time financially to have have a child u'd wait to your 90, and as smarties said - your find that you already have the bulk of the items, and lots of people come up with items, - yes tax credits go up, all helps, still may be a bit stretched, but don't let the unknown put u off.
xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Definitely agree that there is never the 'right time' financially to have a baby. So long as it's right for you as a couple and as a family, then that has to be the most important thing.
(Obviously saying this because I know you're responsible, and do pay your way in life, rather than applying to all situations, ie-not people who have a baby purely to get more money!!)
But obviously sensible to wait to find out about your job first.
Did you keep most of Pips things in case you had a second bubs? If so, it will be so much easier this time as you're set and ready to go already!!
If all does go well with your job (and I have everything crossed for you) then go for it! If you didn't have Pip and you were looking at your financial situation, I bet you'd think 'We couldn't afford a child'. But you've proved you can.

Hope all goes well on the job front today!
I agree on the never being a right time to have a baby but you do copeWe somehow do and we going on or no5 lol. It doesnt cost as much as like the other say you have the main things from no1 - ive also found that you realise all the gimicky things that you dont have to spend money on!! One thing though is dont rely on tax credits as I know ours dont go up with each child so it doesnt always increase. You do get the extra £13 a week child benifit - but who knows how long it will last for as they keep changing the goals on the cut of for when they stop it.........
Good luck for today.GC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. No6 Due Mar 2013 My world.:j0 -
Well Poop is the word of the day! Meeting at work told us we have jobs until September then we will need to either take severance or work from the site over an hour away. I can't really take severance as it is £6000 which in truth is a fair amount but doesnt cover the debts I would need it to cover for me not to work if that makes sense??? If there are still more people than jobs we have to reinterview for our own jobs.
They will pay for our petrol for the first year so thats a help but I am going to have to leave at 6.30 am and not get home until about the same in the evening. I also would need to get a new car as mine will never make it doing all those extra miles everyday. Although I can get a new one, fully insured at a great price of £150 a month through work. My petrol allowance should also cover the payment on the car so that would be kind of paid for.
Edit - The plus side is that I POSSIBLY could manage to angle a grade increase which would obviously mean more money coming in. So I could either end up quite a lot better off or redundant!!!
So......should I stay or should I go! Discuss ;-)Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

That is unbelievable, if your going to take the 12months petrol allowance / possible car £150 pm, I know also theres pips brother or sister to be in the equation, I'd think about grabbing the 12 mths of the petrol allowance, use that time for "pratice!!", and also give you an idea about whether a stay at home month would be an option, then mayeb look for something nearer. The thing is its, ok in good weather travelling the hr each way, but the bad weather - thats when you need to consider, sorry to sound a martyr, but an inch of snow and it brings the UK to a standstill. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
