Oh pants, it won't let me post a link!! It's Catznine's banana bread recipe from the Old Style Recipe Collection on the indexed threads.
It's idiot proof and scrummy!!All my life I've wanted, just once, to say something clever without losing my train of thought. ~Robert Brault0 -

I suppose you could but they won't work as well! I'm now a total convert to using plain flour and adding my own raising agents, its soooooo much better!!!
And no, you don't need to grease silicone muffin cases. i personally don't like them as things don't seem to rise as well and the finish on the cake is diffeent but some people must like them as they seem to sell well!0 -
My muffins are in the oven as we speak. I've used SR as I had some in the cupboard. Got the silicone cases free with free vouchers from Habitat. Bananas were a bargain 5p each so bought loads and had them in the freezer. I call back in a little while and say how they are.

That solves the problem of what to do with the big bunch of 'nana's I just got for 70p in Mr T! Only went in for bread and milk but they were so cheap I had to get them - Thanks guys:jClearing the junk to travel light

the recipe that I used of jammy doger's was fantastic. I made 12 with SR flour and added some raisins. My husband says those are the ones he always wants now.So thank! thank! thank you!0

That's great to know you can use sr flour. I tried banana loaf using sr flour before and it was a disaster!
Off to check out the recipe now as I've gone off making banana loaf lately and never had a very good muffin recipe.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D
