WebSaver1 from British Gas

Grrrr I applied to switch to Click 6 (from EON) and got a letter saying I was due to switch on the 27th December. Then I got a second letter telling me the date had been put back to the 30th December. Today I recieve a letter dated 29th telling me I have switched from British Gas "Standard" to "WebSaver 1" which is more expensive than Click 6.
Was anyone else due to switch to Click 6 in December and did they also get a letter putting back the date? See where I'm going with this? It looks like BG deliberatly delayed my switch until after Click 6 was discontinued.
In all my switch took 8 week to complete and more than a dozen letters and phone calls. I still don't have web access details.0 -
E.On -> Click 6 initially due 25th Dec, put back to 30th. Seems to have gone thru ok. Called them om 30th to change from E7 to normal tariff and they agreed it best to be on Click 6 normal. I'll update this if it changes, but looks ok so far.0

I signed up on the phone and then went online and arranged paperless billing pretty much from the start, so I don't have the tariff on paper anywhere. It would probably have caught my eye when submitting meter readings before they switched me and Click Energy 5 kind of looks right to me but I could definitely not vouch for that.
It would really be quite nice if they just tried not to, you know, con us so much. Just saying.
You can work out which Click you were on by the time you signed up from this page:

similar story for me - signed up via their website for Click 6 11Nov - coupla letters but nothing more (stating I was on standard rate!) Just phoned up twice today - first guy didn't have a clue and told me I was on dual fuel, had boiler cover etc - as I started to explain what was actually going on , I was cut off. Once I stopped shouting and throwing the phone around the room (this is on top of Flogas today as well - who won our little tussle:mad:) just phoned back and the staff couldn't have been more helpful
Anyway, a complaint 'case' has been created and will be investigated to see if I did sign up to the Click 6 (for which I have the BG email) and if so will be applied to my account. If goes as plan , will be happy enuff...now starting to think that ignorance truly is bliss though - never been more stressed trying to hunt down the 'best' deal...might do an Ostrich and stick my head in the sand from now on and spend my energy:p! on more pleasing endeavors.......:EasterBun
Good luck everyone - do kick up a 'polite' fuss and many thanks to those who posted fantastic advice
