If you go to energyhelpline.com or Moneysupermarket.com, put your usage in and state that you are on Click ( whatever number you were on) then you will get the comparison results showing the cheapest and dearer tariffs.0 -
Wasn't there a but of trickery with Click6?
You could sign up for it on the web, but you also had to seperatly sign up for paperless billing to get the low tarrif within 6 weeks or they'd automatically drop you to the Standard Tarrif.0 -
IIRC there's something 'hidden' in the T&C's which states if you don't log in to your online account regularly they CAN put you back onto their standard tariff.Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
The thing is, I don't even know what Click I was on. I signed up on the phone and then went online and arranged paperless billing pretty much from the start, so I don't have the tariff on paper anywhere. It would probably have caught my eye when submitting meter readings before they switched me and Click Energy 5 kind of looks right to me but I could definitely not vouch for that.
It would really be quite nice if they just tried not to, you know, con us so much. Just saying.0 -

Your account history should tell you which Click Energy tariff you were on.0 -

Anyway, whatever. I wonder whether it's worth switching. energyhelpline.com says I would save quite a lot with EDF Energy but I'm reluctant to switch in case something goes wrong, which has happened to me with other services a number of times so far.0 -
My full history
Applied online for Click 6 about 5 weeks ago, early November.
Heard nothing so emailed them in late November, no reply.
Received letter today saying I will be transferred within 5 weeks. That I chose Standard Tariff. Gives me a provisonal reference number (one that does not give internet access) Asks me to call if anything is wrong.
I posted on here (see my post above) and then called them.
They say that I will in a week get a proper reference number. Then I can go online and apply for Click 6. I said Click 6 has gone from website. I was told it will be on my account as an option because I signed up for it.
Now, call me a cynic. I don't believe this.Mainly because why say in the letter that I chose Standard Tariff when I clearly didn't?
I will let this run because I am winning with very, very low electricity prices on EON until the transfer goes through. I will just go onto BG Standard and then move from British Gas straight away supply starts if click 6 isn't available.
Their employees must pull their hair out. I'll not be surprised to see big companies are failing in this environment with their customer service so appalling and no transparancy.0 -

The letter I had from BG at the same stage of the transfer in process stated that I had chosen Fixed Rate 2010.:rotfl:
TBH, you have the right answer, apply to switch as soon as your transfer in is complete and repeat the process, keep doing it until all the energy providers have introduced cancellation fees on variable rate tariffs. :rotfl:0 -
Absolutely. I think we should be congratulated for helping keep people in jobs during such a difficult time in the employment market0
