Yes there are 2 seperate buildings, and not next to each other either!
We stayed in the 'newer' building, which is just a few mins walk down the street of the original Covent Garden TL where we initially checked in.
And if you ever don't like a room, in any hotel, Always, ALWAYS say something. And hopefully they should do their best to accomodate you

Is there a reception desk in both buildings or do you have to go to the older building to check-in? Also, which is the nearest tube station within walking distance? Thanks :A“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

I always stay in the newer building called High Holborn which is the other Covent garden travelodge. There is reception in both buildings. High Holborn seems modern with a nice cafe/bar area (also very close to British Museum and the nice cafes near there for breakfast)
I tend to walk to Tott court road for the Tube but think Russells square might be closer and Holborn?
The rooms on the top floors have fab views over the city skyline Ive stayed on the 13th floor twice.Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

I do have photos of the rooms at Covent garden, Marylebone, Farringdon and City Road travelodges as I usually do a trip advisor review.
Not sure if Its ok to post lots of big photos on here so if anyone wants any in partic do ask and I can post odd one on here or can email people if you PM me.
Rooms are pretty much the same in each hotel but they do alter per hotel as in Marylebone and Farringdon are older style and Cov Garden and City road very modern.
Have stayed in the above several times, City Rd once.Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Trying to decide over Brighton seafront in August 3 nights I want, are 2 at £19 and 1 at £32 so not bad.
We had 3 nights at Brighton seafront on the last £9 deal a couple of weeks ago. It was very clean and staff were brilliant but the room was freeeeeezing! They did give us an extra duvet but didn't have any portable heaters we could borrow. Hopefully that won't be an issue for you in August though! The only other downside to Brighton seafront is that the cheapest parking is £15 per day in an NCP car park round the corner and up the road (and if you take your car out and back again during the day you'll pay even more). It was ironic that we were paying more for a 'room' for the car than for ourselves! To be fair it did say this on the travelodge website but I decided before we went that we'd probably be able to find a little sidestreet to park in... no chance! If you are staying for several days it might be worth thinking about alternatives to parking nearby. Hope you have a great time... we love Brighton!“A journey is best measured in friends, not in miles.”

Thank you for your very helpful advice :T
So, is the newer High Holbourn hotel nearer to Tottenham Court Rd than the other? If so this would be great as we're going to the Dominion Theatre on TCR and the tube there is also handy for KX. Where exactly is the entrance to it?
I recall seeing a tall grey building with a Travelodge sign on it whilst walking down New Oxford St toward Holborn tube before but always assumed this was the Covent Garden hotel so this is the one I would be heading for unless the other is more convenient
Wouldn't mind visiting the British Museum whilst we're there too so that's a bonus!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
The one you saw from New Oxford St is the Holborn one. The other is only 100 yards away in Drury Lane, so it really makes little difference for getting around. I don`t think you get a choice which one you get. We stay there often and always go straight to the Holborn one. Only twice have we been in sent to Drury Lane one. Both are ideally located for exploring the West End.0

Yes thats the one you saw, Its next to a theatre cant think which one?
When I left my room I was spending the day in London so went for breakfast in Museum square 5 mins away and left my small case in the left luggage of the museum for £1, collected it before my train home as Euston charge about £8 to leave a case/bag these days. Means carrying it to Euston later but Its one road to Euston from the museum.Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Perhaps I'm being really thick but I can't see two travelodges in Holborn... only one. Do you mean you just book at one and you might get put in either of them?“A journey is best measured in friends, not in miles.”
