Thanks sunsacs, were not going till june so plenty of time to decide between drayton manor and alton towers, depending on what deals or offers are going on in true MSE style of course.

Does anyone know if there are any travelodge's anywhere near ''MONKEY WORLD'' - my mum wants to go there as part of her hen weekend, lol.
:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

barking has an overland trains at station and also has tube, between 15 mins to tower hill and 30 mins into central london. a good 20 walk to the station though from the travelodge which is on a major road

You can find reviews for the hotel on trip advisor here.

With regard to the cooked breakfast some Travelodges charge about £8 for, you would get it cheaper by going to a cafe in London.
