Just a word of warning to people offering rooms.
Remember if someone trashes the room, it's in your name with your credit card details.

Drayton Manor theme park is nearer where you are staying, as about 15 miles from Birmingham.

does ayone know if london baattersea or barking are too out of the way for most attractions:rolleyes:
    thanks
Starting to save £2 coins again, but it is a struggle:rotfl:Not doing very well keep spending them
  • Another one here not able to book using the normal site, mobile is OK. I found a room in Inverness, site says £9, but when you try and book it it comes up £19, so I guess the search facility is a bit behind on what is really available.

Battersea is not too far away from attractions eg. a few miles to the museums etc. on the South side of the Thames. Not sure where the Travelodge is in Battersea. Barking is a bit further away in East London, but I seem to remember had not bad transport links (only been there on business once).
  • I managed this afternoon to book 5 consecutive nights in July for the Travelodge near my home town to visit family - 3 nights at £9 and two at £19 so averages out at £13 - still cheap. Last time we had this stampede I booked for the Easter holidays, on both occasions 1 night at a time via the mobile site. All confirmed by email so well chuffed :j
    Happy New Year everyone!
