HAPPY FRIDAY!!!
WannabeSybil - Hope Little Bear has recovered from yesterdays calamities.
HUGS to all you lovely peeps who need it. Still got the cold here today but finish work in 2 hours so I am hapy happy happy!
Weather is crap which doesn't make for good driving today, got OH's car which is safer and better than my wee chug machine so will have the Christmas beats on later (his car has CD player!lol)
Nothing OS today unfortunatly will be having porridge for lunch cos it's all I'll have time for. Tea will be at home tonight at the parents house; can't wait! My mum is great cook and always does hearty meals to keep us going.
Anyway best of luck in your Friday adventures, go forth and conquer!:rotfl:Spreading the gospel that is Martin Lewis to the future generation....I'm a Home Economics Teacher and being thrifty is the way!:A0 -
Morning.
Wondering if my Amazon goods will arrive in time for Christmas? Said they would be here by 22, but that's a hope?
Amazon are usally pretty good but I do have to add that the post has gotten pretty shocking lately esp round here. I usually get my dvds from Lovefilm delivered the next day and they have been taking 2 or 3 days to get here and same when I send them back. Also our postman usually comes every day and lately we have been getting some days with no post for 1 or 2 days and then a deluge. Either there is no sickness cover or the posties are being lazy and only doing their round once every couple of days. What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -
I will post later when I have read through, but just popped in to say taplady I will be thinking of you all today x

and hope that all is going well.
Mummysaver - that is an extremely tempting idea. I was told that when he had his first serious bump he would calm down. I know he must have bumped a bit coming downstairs, but I was greeted by his gorgeous smile when I opened the door to the stairs and he is still exploring vertically. We are going to try and sort out a gate on his room, but with the door being much narrower than standard, most gates won't work. I think I have sorted one out. Also, this morning, I put his morning bottle on (my life would be dust and ashes if I didn't put that on!) got dressed etc, went back in (usual routine that I have been following since he was born) and he was stretched out horizontally across the corner of the cot rail. One more push and he would have been out. Again. If I can get the gate over then I think I will have to do that, because he is just so adventurous. He definitely does not get that from me.
I managed a bit of washing up yesterday, and a little bit of tidying because by the time he got to sleep I was shattered. In a way I am a little proud of him, but I think I will be glad when this phase goes.
Today I am going to have a nap. Possibly a sleep. Then when he wakes up I shall try and work round him. I think I shall just be doing little bits around him, as it goes, because in theory we are putting up decorations tomorrow.
Hugs to all.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Sybil I did the same as mummysaver and lowered the cot side for mine so at least the drop wasn't so bad if they escaped! A quilt on the floor helped too.
I don't envy you,I remember coming in from the kitchen when DS2 was little and hearing hysterical giggling but not being able to see him anywhere..eventually found him sitting on top of a 5 shelf rattan shelf unit  and you know how unstable those things are...
DS3..well..I'd be here all day but his worst one was when we lived in the last place and it was upside down.Kitchen and 2 bedrooms upstairs and living room and 1 bedroom downstairs..He was fast asleep in the downstairs bedroom I came up to make his lunch and turned around and the stairgate had shut behind me.He was there smiling and wriggling the gate only for it to come off in his hands and ended up sliding down a flight of stairs on his back still hanging on to the gate for dear life!!!  :eek:0 -
D&DD - The thought of DS3 :eek::eek::eek::eek:
Little bear just does not seem at all daunted. I feel a bit of a nervous wreck. But bless him he normally sleeps through and he normally wakes up singing quietly, giving me a start so I can get in before he gets too adventurous.
Now, I really need that nap!Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -

Just a quick post to send (((hugs))) to Taplady
(((hugs))) also to hilstep - The MS relapses are horrible, glad to hear you are starting to feel a bit better now.
We are off to our local MS centre with a box of french choccy biscuits to share out. We have some lovely friends there.
Then off to town to pick up some last minute items (copy of ds's book has been requested so I had to order it in Smiths) he is still very poorly at the moment with influenza, sick, achey and hardly able to stand poor lad, and after having the vaccination!
Still working on running down the freezers to make room for Christmas supplies next week! Tonight we will be using up some fish (pollack, haddock and prawns) in a large fish pie that should do us for a couple of days!
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Mornin :santa2:
Its cold here today but lovely and sunny, not going out today, we are waiting for DS1,DIL and our DGD's to arrive.
They should have been coming last night but DGD1 was feeling a bit poorly, so they decided to let her sleep though last night and see how she is today.
Had toast for brekkie for a change today, but I think I prefer porridge its more filling.
Dinner not sure yet for grown ups, but I bet DGD's will both want Fish Fingers, Smiley faces and razzle dazzlers, not very OS but they love them.
Hester - Have a lovely time at your "do" relax and enjoy, you certainly need it
Halight - hope things work out for you with the job, fingers crossed

Reverbe - the post has been the same here lately, mostly every other day,
WBSybil - Little Bear sounds like a real character, my DS2 was like that I just never knew what he would do next, at times he spent more time picking himself up off the floor (or I did) than he did walking about :rotfl:
Well I have just had a call from DS1 they have just passed Oxford so they will be here in an hour or so :T :T :T
