Tesco sell "Tubbits" plastic pots with lids that stack inside eachother, all shapes and sizes, microwave & dishwasher safe. They do an oval one that is 1/2 litre in size, perfect for a portion of soup or a chicken breast meal for one.
you get 6 for about £1.80xxxdxxx

I buy 100 tubbits thingies (not called tubbits but they are essentially the same) from Costco for £5 and they last me best part of a year. If I always washed and reused then they would last alot longer but I sometimes chuck them, particularly if they have had curry in them:o I think they are brilliant as they stack really well and you can put them straight from the freezer to the microwave.Jane

Plastic 'Chinese' style boxes with lids - we buy them in bulk from Costco. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

Just realised I've been chucking away loads of potential freezer tubs over the years....my empty hummous tub (when washed out) will be perfect for freezing one portion of stewed fruit. (I like it with my breakfast - simply take out a portion the night before).0

i hate zip lock bags, i can't do the zip lock bit either, i buy those "take away" type tubs from home bargains, 5 for around 80p, just enough for 1 portion.0
