This week has been a bit of a tough one work wise but nearly the end of the week and then I have most of next week off after the exam yay!
I went to the opticians today at lunch as I got a free eye test voucher through work and had my test. They said I need glasses which doesn't surprise me that much the amount of time I have to sit staring at a computer! Am going to choose some tomorrow, hopefully won't be too expensive.
Is OHs birthday today, he only finished work at 10 though. I made him a chocolate cake this evening, still need to ice it which will do in a min, had a little sneaky taste and is yum! We are going to Tiger Tiger for dinner tomorrow, got 50% off voucher so should be good.0 -
Where do you get your eyes done chick? I've always gone to Vision Express, but decided to cut costs when i got some last year and went to specsavers and got 2 designer pairs for £135, and they are really good, jusst as good as vision express.
Happy belated birthday to your OH. I hope you have a lovely evening on Friday. I haven't been to tiger tiger in years, i think the last time was when i worked in London and we went on there after the xmas do. Have fun.
The chocolate cake sounds yum, It's my OH's birthday next week so i might make him a big cupcake birthday cake.
Have a great day at work. The very best things in life ... are free!

I go to specsavers too and have always found them just as good as Boots etc, but often cheaper. Although I still think glasses as soooo expensive and it annoys me that I have to pay so much to be able to see properly!
Hope you're cake was a delicious as it sounds!

Hi all,
Had a bit of a busy last few days. We went out for dinner at Tiger Tiger on Thurs. Was really nice and worked out really cheap because of our voucher. I tried to pay as was OHs bithday but he wouldn't let me bless him.
Yesterday we had a lunch with work and then I ended up being out all afternoon and we got our two newbies down the pub in the afternoon. I was there till 11 so I was pretty drunk so feeling it a bit today!
I have been revising today as my exam is on Monday, is pretty scary but hopefully will be OK. I only have to work Monday afternoon after the exam and then I have the rest of the week off so can finally do some sorting and get the flat/my life sorted!
I oredered my glasses from Specsavers. Got two pairs for £115 and can pick them up for next week. I paid on my credit card so will come out of my account in March which gives me some time to get the money together.
Had better get back to revision now, hope you all have a great weekend.0 -
ooh how exciting about your new glasses. I have just received my letter telling me I'm due an appointment but really could do without the expense at min! What are your new ones like?
Hope your revision is going ok and that your exam goes well on monday. What are you training as?Money paid out from Topcashback so far= £105.89 :j

The glasses are a sort of purple colour and quite small. It sounds a bit weird them being purple but as they are so small you don't really notice and it looks ncie with my dark hair.
I work in advertising and the exam is a qualification I got asked if I wanted to do. It isn't essential to my job but will look good on my CV and the company paid for it so wasn't going to say no. It is basically an exam about all areas of marketing and advertising.0 -
My glasses are purple hehe! So good choice!
Your exam sounds very interesting and its good to do anything that you can pop on your cv.

The exam is over and done with yay! So happy can finally have some time to sort myself out etc. The exam went OK, I managed to answer the questions so nothing too horrific.
I am off work for the rest of the week so have got lots of jobs that need doing. I am going to write a little to do list for the week at the end of this post.
My car was picked up this morning. Was a bit bad seeing it go. I have taken the tax disc out and am sending that back as will get a 10 month refund which I can pay back to my Dad.
Right here goes for the To Do List:
Send off tax disc
Send MOT to Insurance company
Do washing
Do ironing
Tidy bedroom
Clean kithchen
Clean Oven
Sort out stuff in bedroom
Sort out stuff in lounge
Sign up for estate agents
Find a new car
Quite a big list really but at least I have all week to do it!0 -
Aww sad about the car, but you will get a new one and that's always nice. Enjoy your week off.0
