Am feeling a lot better today both from illness and about the flat. Think the cold is going (fingers crossed).
We are going to keep an eye out for flats and myabe take a trip down all the local estate agents when we are off work.
The insurance company phones today about my car and it is a write off. I need to get the stereo out as is quite a good one I got for Christmas last year but haven't got the keys so will see if we can manage it tonight or will have to try and get some keys to release it. Will now be on the hunt for a new car, I did get a good amount for it, about the same as I paid for it minus my excess. They are still chasing the other person for their claim but said mine looks good so hopefully will go in my favour.0 -
Well my plan for a weekend for revising for my work exam didn't go quite to plan...
My Mum and Dad came up to London yesterday so sort out my stereo as they had the old one, which is now back in the car so it is ready for when they come and get it.
Then we went to the National History museum for something to do, which was quite good. Have been a few times but is something free to do and is always interesting.
Today myself and OH went to Westfield for a bit. Got OH some trainers for his birthday and I used my vouchers to get a dress from Zara and a dress from New Look. I still have got nearly £50 left on Zara so will keep looking out for things I like.
I have managed to do some revision but not as much as I would have liked, better get on and do some now...0 -
Glad the insurance has finally called you! There quick to right off cars these days, my OH buys them written off for cheap and fixes them up as sometimes its tiny reasons why they write them off. You could always buy it back and get it fixed? Although thats probably alot of hassle.
Do you know how much they are giving you for it?
Well done on your buys using your vouchers.

goodness, I never realised the damage to your car was so serious. really sorry to hear that and hope you are ok. I think I'd be really upset if it was me.

I got 2000 for it, which is slightly more than I paid so I am happy.
I know it is bad but I was kind of hoping would be written off as wanted to get a new car and gives an exscuse now. OH is going to split the costs with me and we will share. He still needs to pass his test though, but will give him more motivation I think.0 -
Glad you're feeling better, and news of the car could be worse so hopefully you'll find something good between you.0

Yeah I was quite pleased they were actually reasonable about it! We are thinking about a Ford Focus as I quite like them and would like something a little bit bigger/more powerful.
We have just had our Ocado shop. I got a £30 off £85 voucher so was quite good value, and delivery was only 1.99 as chose a late delivery slot. Good job I got the voucher as can't drive my car now. We got lots so am hoping it will last two weeks till I get paid.
Work was tiring today, think Mondays always were. Had to spend half the day training up our new assistants which is hard work as well. Done a bit more revision after work...can't wait for this exam to be over!0 -
Wow good find with the voucher! £30 of free stuff!
I hope you find a car you like soon.
