Cold weather payment

The payments are still being churned out ... we've got nearly 600 to send out by hand cos the "system" spat out its silicon dummy & couldn't manage the payments ...

Mm. 600. That'll take one person 2-3 weeks to process, assuming we can even find someone spare to do it.

i am on income based JSA and my son is 5 years old 6 in august, we are told we are not eligable because he is not under 5..

for the sake of a few months, not as if he wont feel the cold anyless ..

is that defffo true, we don't qualify because he is 5?

In a word - yes. There has to be a cut-off somewhere and whether its right or wrong is a whole other can of worms!
