    I am very confused.....

We live in East Sussex, and it appears we don't have a weather station near enough to us. But we have had thick frost on the ground all week.
My OH gets DLA, we get IS. Does this mean that if we lived nearer to a weather station we would get the CWP??
We have had to have the heating on all day for ages, I DREAD to think what our gas bill is going to be.....

Snap in every sense, except we're in West Sussex but heating 24/7 aswell

Did you check if you postcode is in this list?
    http://www.channel4.com/news/media/2009/01/day_06/weatherstations.doc

If it is not it might not have been added yet perhaps?
Usually it is a little warmer by the sea but I think it has been very cold down south
just very recently so it might be in the next list.

People should post the first 3-4 digits of the postcode so people can double check for them.

It seems to me most of the Brighton Post codes are in there
    BN1-3, BN9-18, BN25, BN41-43, BN45. BN5-6, BN44. BN7-8, BN20-24, BN26-27.
But not all of them, maybe it will be updated, but I think the weather is getting warmer now.
Unfortunately it seem to be a 'all or nothing system' and the threshold is extremely low.
Mine has only been triggered once but it seems as if it been an averege of 0 for about
3 or 4 weeks or more. it has certainly felt like that anyway.

  • Which part of East Sussex are you in? I haven't had anything so far and I live in Eastbourne.

I've just read your other post on the £60 payment thread. Is that the payment you were talking about here? If so, that isn't the CWP. It is the one-off £60 payment everyone who gets a £10 Christmas Bonus, will get.
    CWP is £25.

That list is which postcodes are allocated to each weather station, not only those that have been triggered. For instance, the weather station which covers my postcode (Dyce) is on that list, but I won't receive a payment as it wasn't on the list of stations that have been triggered.

Yes, that's what I meant. ie. you need to refer to both links, not just the weather station one that reactor posted.
