Think I will have an hour in garden later Nyk, still have some tubs to clear out and a bit of cleaning up in greenhouse too. Need to start prepring for next years crops. Getting fed up waiting for chap to clear his stuff from allottment may tell him to forget it and just stick with my little corner, especially as he has recently stuck a load of paving flags and rubble on there too from a job he was doing0

hello, going to give this a try!
I am excluding mortgage, council tax, car expenses, cost of petrol to work, water, gas and electric (as i have worked really hard to get these down and think its def. essential use only), tv licence and minimal card repayments.
So my £4000 will be broke down as such
BT £180 pa
mobile £300
sky £216 (no aerial on house, fitting one costs the same as a this anyway)
travel to friends and family £520
groceries inc cat £1040 (£20 a week)
OU £1300
going out £444 (£8 a week- will be my downfall!)
This leaves me £4086 pa for paying back my credit cards (currently around the six mark. So, maybe by christmas 09 i will be able to tell you i'm debt free!
some strategies i shall use
- getting work petrol once a week from asda rather than topping up on motorways etc
-cooking in bulk, bargain hunting
-enjoying what i have in life
-withdrawing grocery money each week0 -
Please sign me up to the challenge.
I just had a look at my finances. I am always skint. But once I sat down and worked out all my essentials, I realise that there is no reason for me to be struggling to pay off debt and I need to get my life in order. In fact, by following this plan, I end up with £7000 extra a year to pay off my debt
All I need now is the willpower
EileenLive on £4000 a year - £37.26/£3000
January Food Budget - £26.80/£80
£5 a day in January - £21.75/105
1st Debt I am planning to pay off - Cap 1 Mastercard £2400 - paid off so far ... I'll let you know when I get the bill in.0
