Ooh, just watching the news and seeing what everyone is talking about with the snow. I seem to recall it got like that every year when I was at school and there were definitely snow studs on the tyres of the car I drove during winter but can't remember tha last time I saw anyone using them.

The snow has finally arrived here, so we'll wait and see what tomorrow brings as we don't get gritters or snow ploughs down our little single track road. Forecast says not a lot about our area  although Janey's area got a quick mention.

Hope everyone is managing alright and well stocked up in case the roads get blocked. If ours blocks, I'm going to build a snowman. :rotfl: Here's one we made during a previous flurry - he was 7' tall!

Oh, that is MAGIC! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I was sitting here worrying about this, that and t'other and the snow bunny just wiped the frown off my face and made me laugh out loud! Here's something nerdish for people who like useless information: there's a theory that people in Europe have been building snowmen (perhaps snowbunnies too :D) for thousands of years, right back to prehistoric times. Don't know why, but I just love that thought....

  • Love the snowbunny! Glad to see you posting, redglass - hope you're feeling better.

I went to see Wicked in December, sarah147 :D it's one of the reasons my entertainment budget is so overbudget, lol. My ticket was £16.50 though :p Glad you had a nice time in London. Were the £5 Newcastle-London tickets just ordinary advance fares or part of an offer?

Sorry to hear of your news sft and sf - will be thinking of those in need.

    And GOOD LUCK, mumzy!

Well, you can wish for too much of a good thing... I now have THREE interviews in London over the next two weeks, all of which need lots of preparation doing for them  hopefully one of them will want me at least!

Good luck mumzy, keeping fingers crossed for you

Nyk - love the rabbit :rotfl: . You're very creative!

Our little 'burb was snowed in and the whole town had no buses until about 12pm and then only on about 5 routes and until 9pm. One little flake of snow and everything grinds to a halt  . No school or work :j , but it looks like it's better for tomorrow (expecting Mr S to come knocking around 11am)

Sorry to hear about your family SF, thinking of you. Really pleased the interview went well and well excited about the new man, definitely keep us posted! :D

Good luck for the exam Mumzy and for the interview SL, keeping everything crossed for both of you. Well done on the interviews Andromache, hope you get one of them and then you might have time to actually study, poor thing!

Glad the first days went well Skintchick and Marru. Oh, and I wasn't being a tease Marru, I meant he actually exists in the real world so we can quietly [strike]stalk him[/strike] track his movements (oh hang on, that is still stalking :p) and find out where he goes then 'accidentally' bump into him one day :D And for anyone who is wondering how this is possibly a frugal topic, I am simply trying to save Marru wasting money on dating sites ;) BTW, he really is very tall (made OH look short!) so that'll make a nice change eh? ;)
I love the snow rabbit too Nyk :T I've just been outside to check on my pigs as I was worried they might be cold (yes,I know they're from South America :rotfl:) and was playing with my kitten in the snow - it's her first time in it and she's having a whale of a time :D Looks beautiful out there.

Right, off to do my scratchcards and see if I can't get back to sleep. Out with friends tomorrow so will 'see' you all in the evening, have a good day all x
