I have one of those kids wall-hanging toy-holders and the slots in it are a perfect size for packets and sauce mixes. I think I paid about 50p + P&P for mine from eBid. Sorry, forgot to mention this earlier. They are plastic and easily washed down. You can also get them for hanging over the backs of car seats but I like my yellow kiddy door hanging one. :D I just need to find it to hang it up in the new house!

Great idea, I could have one of these inside my stock cupboard - so simple - why didn't I think of that:doh:
I may even get sewing machine out and have a go of making one:D

If my money goes in tonight, Im thinking of going Wigan or Bolton shopping in the morning. Not been on my own for over a year :) All depending on DD's eyes - they seem only worste at night!

I will look In Boots tomorrow for that shampoo :)

Feel alot better than i did before and managed some tea too :D
DS found a piece of plastic in his turkey drummer!!! I have kept hold of it but proberly throw it away as don't know what to do with it. I thoght it was a bone but it isn't. After that i couldn't eat my drummers lol.

grandma- i have been using the chappati flour from mr t as well i have found i can use it on its own (without adding any hard flour) if you reduce the water slightly and add a little extra yeast

There are different grades of chappatti flour shaz. I got the stuff that looks just like normal wholemeal breadflour. I put white in with it because not all my family likes 100% wholemeal. Do you find it works out a lot cheaper for you? Mine was on special offer and I wish I could have got more but hopefully the offer will still be there in a couple of weeks.
Edit: the other flour was for roti.

Mr.T. has put the price of value sweetcorn down to 17p a tin. I bought 10 and will check again on Friday to see if it is still that price and get more if it is.

Skint - cats hate anything citrus so putting orange/lemon peel where they are peeing may put them off. Alternatively, get hold of one of those long range water pistols and position yourself at an upstairs window:rotfl:

    This made me laugh.

  • NSD here today, although i could do with doing a bit of food shopping as we are low in fruit, milk and bread. Plenty of meat and packets/tins in though.

I have been home all day again, and the 2 kids have been driving me bonkers. DS1 was being whiny and demanding, as was DS2, and DS2 was bum-shuffling like crazy so unusually mobile and i have been running round all day making sure he wasn't eating something he shouldn't like cat food. DS1 also managed to kick me in the chest, and DS2 bit me twice because he is teething again, so i was rather frazzled when DH came in so he did bedtime for me.

I have made Spag bol for our dinner with a portion for me and the kids for a lunchtime, and then converted the leftovers into chilli for another evening meal. So 4x adult evening meal, 2 x adult lunch meal, 2 x kiddies lunch meal portions from 450g of mince so i am learning.

nyk great idea on the kiddies organiser for food storage. I have a cot organiser that has hung there redundant all the time i have had DS2. I am thinking it will hang from a couple of nails in my pantry wall and get me sorted.

sophies mum my suggestion was going to be what we did at work, which was get some A4 cardboard document wallets, then cut to size, stapling the edge you cut, then hang/tape to the wall

I must get DH to get me the babygate out of the garage tonight so i can do some babyproofing while DS1 is at nursery tomorrow. DS2 is also trying to pull himself up, so i need some major decluttering again so he has room and safety to do all this. While he is out there he can bring in some tinned toms and kidney beans to restock my pantry.

I think i had best research bargains at different supermarkets to see what i will buy tomorrow. I may even drag myself to boots as i have a No 7 voucher and the time out of the house may restore my sanity a bit.

It was a 10kg bag for £5 elephant atta i think ours still have it but only have 1 bag out whenever i visit ,pricewise its a lot cheaper than wholemeal and a bit cheaper than white bread flour and i have used it for cakes too i am considering doing away with self raising and stocking up on baking powder and just buying this ....save on space if nothing else

we have quite a few asian supermarkets and i have heard that golden chappatti flour is really good so am on the look out for this next

I really should go to bed i think i am coming down with cold but the decongestant has made me a little hyper
