There is 7 and there chinnese style not bbq.

They been frozen and i defrosted them overnight. I dont even know how to cook them let alone what to do with them.

Are they raw mumzy? If so, you will need to cook the lot of them and freeze what you are not using. Check out the pack instructions and see if there are any guidelines about them.

    Some ideas:

Chop up and make into a special fried rice.
Noodles and gravy. (Like a chow mein).
Make some of them into chicken dippers for wee ones.
I think it's poss to make a type of roast dinner with them, just cover with gravy.
    Curry.
    Casserole
    Oriental chicken pie
    Chicken and sweetcorn soup

The list is endless: I would treat them like normal chicken because if you make it into something non chinese, you might not taste the chinese bit at all. Just beware if they are already cooked, I would not freeze them again, but best to ask sophiesmum about the rules there. If I didn't live so far away, I would pop round for my tea tonight, they sound really nice.:D

    Afternoon peeps,
Spent £15 on take away last night - still had £25 left in treat money so decided we needed one (a treat that is). It was the first time i really enjoyed it too.
Just been looking over our budget for next month and i reckon if we're careful we should come in under budget which would be nice as we're currently saving up to re-do our bathroom. Got a fair amount saved, but i would like to have another £100- £200 just in case.

    Plan for today.....
    Tidy/sort kitchen cupboards - done
    Sort recycling - done
Put washing on rads to dry - done
Go on wii fit - after this
Store cupboard tea - not sure yet, we'll see what we fancy later

    Plan for tomoro....
Free lunch at tgi's - found some more vouchers:D
Family day out - dont have these v often so will be nice
    As little as possible

Wont be an nsd but will be a cheap spends day:D

    Does anyone else do this?

I buy 20 sandwiches worth of bread/rolls and ham/dinosaur ham/cheese slices, make them up into sandwiches, then freeze them for DD's luches for a month(ish).

I used to do this when my kids were little.
I also used to buy cheap sweets from the market and then give them a small bagful to take to school instead of money to spend in the tuck-shop (when they used to sell rubbish

And, when they got older, I used to give them the Child Benefit (then called Family Allowance)and they had to use that to buy everything they wanted, including saving spending money for school trips.
I think some mothers thought I was a hard woman :D but neither of my kids have got debts so it must have worked.

    Good afternoon.
It's very frosty here today but gorgeous.
    NSD again for me.

Who said you can't burn soup :o
You can if you fall asleep while the vegs are softening :D
I shall re-consitute with stock tell myself it's barbecued soup. A true frugalite doesn't let a bit of carbon get in the way of a meal.
And carbon is good for wind :rotfl:

    Treasure hunting successful.
Had my first finds....a George V halfpenny and a modern halfpenny.
My friend found a buckle, a musket ball and a brooch.
Plus silver foil, old lead and rusty nails

But it's a start and so exciting.
We were out for 4 hrs and never had to spend any money. Could have done with spending a penny :rotfl:
    It's easier for men.

I am making chicken curry with chicken breasts found in freezer which will probably do about 5 meals :T

Have just spent about 2 hours catching up on all the posts. My laptop at home is very old and tired and won't let me post for some reason (or go on qype or slice the pie:mad: ). Anyhoo, had a quiet weekend as OH's kids were here, that also means a no spend weekend as he buys all their food and I just cook it. They're both incredibly fussy and have a very limited food range, will only eat carrots and broccoli, no other veg at all. As they're not my kids, I don't budget for them and I don't see why I should pay to feed them!

OH also announced that he doesn't like food that's been frozen?!? I made a huge pot of curry before xmas, which he ate fresh, but now says it's inedible now it's been frozen:mad: I've never heard such rubbish in all my life. He's eaten stuff and liked it when he doesn't know, so I don't know why he's being such a twit. Have decided to ask him for more money for groceries as if I've got to cook fresh for him every nite, he can pay for it. I'll stick to all the stews, etc I've already got in the freezer. Feb bills have started coming out of the bank already, so budget has gone up. Won't be spending any money on food this week, so should be a super-frugal end to the month!!
Hugs to all that need them :T

Hiya, it's been a busy time here! We've blitzed the house and I've been working hard to get my office how I'd like it - almost there. Need to get some shelves for all my resources and paint my filing cabinets when the weather's nicer (although will wait to see if we're going away and if we are will do it when we get back so they don't get scratched in the move). Almost there now with everything and it's such a nice place to work in :T On with Victorian planning this afternoon (if anyone has any good ideas feel free to pass them on ;)).
We had a friend over from Paris yesterday, it was lovely to catch up and he's determined to get us out to see him before we head off - will need to explore costs and work out how to offset them.
I managed to get my £100 bonus from A@L
which is amazing as I don't think I've fulfilled the T&Cs :shhh: :jHm, that might help with Paris... ;)
In other news, I am slowly getting better from my leg and other illness - it's been a rough few months healthwise but am still on form despite it :D I've just unsuspended my gym membership so am looking forward to going back from next Monday once I have my dressing off :j
And in yet other news, we're off to look at another house on Thursday! Not the dream one in the country (yet) but one along our road that's come up for sale - it's 27k cheaper than I paid 18 months ago  Anyhoo, we're looking to invest in a second property (dependant upon getting a mortgage of course ) so we'll see.
My ISAs are at 3% and 1.8% and will no doubt drop more so will be offsetting them against the mortgage soon. Our payments have dropped again so we're now well under half the original amount, and the lump sum will help reduce it further. The extra money we can get together will go towards house renovations; first stop, the attic!
Have a good afternoon everyone x

Sounds fun Janey - you need one of these :D

Janey, you need to invest in a she-pee:D .

An enforced go slow day today so no 'to do' list. Yesterday got the freezer defrosted and another cabinet off the kitchen wall that has opened up the workspace beautifully. " NSD's in a row and determined to not spend more than 6.99 until saturday, so that at least I remain within an 'average spend of £333 this month. Must work on getting an under average spend month;) .
S - good luck with your PGCE interview:T
Bails - great news re A&L:T:T
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Ha ha, snap BB! Sorry you're on a go slow, take it easy and hope tomorrow is better xx
If it helps you and others, I am over the average for this month but am happy it will even out over the year (that's what happened last year). I haven't made use of the sales really this year (as we can't stockpile in the same way if we're leaving the country) but have been stockpiling food for the next 6 months.
